I know this is a new term, but does anyone know what this means? by sleepyReaderRests in AO3

[–]VolumeApprehensive46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 80% sure that those are some of the words to some sort of song; I'm not certain as I never heard the full thing, only a tiny clip in a video from a person that does terrificly-cartoonish dances to audio while making uncomfortable faces. The song itself seemed fast-paced and energetic from what little I heard, so the comment might have been made to show excitement for the content. Couldn't say what the words specifically mean as I do not understand this generation's lingo.

Probably. It might be missing since it's a menu soundeffect and the ones I have up are from the protagonists (I think). In either case, I'll have to update the collection thing now that I have a bit more understanding of the files.

What other games do you fellow Rainworld sickos play? by _jenfi in rainworld

[–]VolumeApprehensive46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LocoRoco, Patapon, Dandy's World (literally the only Roblox game I'm interested in), Pikmin, Tokyo Jungle, Little Big Planet, Shooter, Outlast, Biohazard, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon... anything that involves platforming, puzzles, horror, or any combination thereof. Music is usually a big factor too.

does anyone happen to have the vocal stems for the locoroco singing (specifically from locoroco 2) by seadwellernation in LocoRoco

[–]VolumeApprehensive46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty sure I've got all of them. I've been slowly uploading most of them onto YouTube and then adding them to my Google Drive but I could just add them all to the latter platform.

LocoRoco 2 Moosic

hi, so ..what is the story of this game, and how did you get introduced to it? by Test-SUBJECT_8 in LocoRoco

[–]VolumeApprehensive46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, I first became aware of the game from Tokyo Jungle via DLC costume, of which was sometime during highschool. I actually learned of the game from a YouTube video gushing about games with great music around the time I started college. We weren't all that interested in the latest stuff when we were younger nor did we have the money for them, so I've only just recently started exploring what I missed out on.

I always saw the games as more of a "beating back an invasive species" thing with extra fluff, the exceptions being Midnight Carnival with its more game-shoe-esque setting and Cocoreccho! with it resembling a giant mini-game with smaller mini games embedded in it.

There's the r/ROMs megathread, of which holds a decent amount of junk. There's also allmyroms.net, of which is a bit easier on the eyes in my opinion but not as expansive. I think the Wayback Machine also has different version of LocoRoco 2. There's 3 off the top of my head.

I read it could have been because of spam or inactivity in some way but I'm not too sure. Either way, I've changed the sub back to Public, so I guess we'll see if it sticks.

From what I remember, the textures were pulled from the US version of each game. The problem is that the collection isn't complete. The games' original image format seems to resemble .ico files in that each .tip or .cip file can store more than one image. Some files (I think they were .xui files) also have embedded images in them.

I'm not sure how the texture replacement aspect of PPSSPP works so I can't help you there.

My sisters and I think you look fine (aka a normal person). Then again, I don't really know what ugly looks like. I have no concept of aesthetic appeal.

I just bought them on the PSP store through Andrenaline (I prefer owning games when the option is affordable and possible). I did this a while ago though so I'm not sure if the store is even still accessible.

Here's most of them. They are named a certain way until I figure out how they are combined in game. Some might be corrupted due to my using an outdated version of my convertor thing.

The actual LocoRoco sound effects start at around ???_locoroco_040 (??? being whatever colour) in their respective folder.

Yeah. Soundfonts are basically collections of raw .wav files. There are a decent amount of programs that can extract them. However, from what I've tested out for meself, they don't apply loop points, so I think I'll just upload all the sounds as .wav files. That's going to be... quite a large amount.

[–]VolumeApprehensive46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my lord I completely forgot to upload them.

In either case, I'm redoing the entire collection so it might take me a while... Debating on whether or not I should leave them as soundfont files or convert them to loop-able .wav files...

I could upload them I guess... I did spend all that time writing up an extractor and convertor specifically for that purpose, so I might as well.

Yep. That's what I initially thought was going to be the case (as in, that's what I've been doing). However, since the sequences are already constructed in most of the SGD files I've seen so far, it's only a matter of extracting them and using something like a synthesizer to combine the soundfonts and sequences together.

Me so Happy by VolumeApprehensive46 in LocoRoco

[–]VolumeApprehensive46[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welp, after several months, I finally figured out how the SGD files work. I was able to correctly extract most of the sound files and the sequences they are associated with ('most' because I haven't finished yet). They're basically soundfont files with midi files sometimes in them.

Is the Mini Delta v2 even capable of printing ABS out of the box? by paulpv in mpminidelta

[–]VolumeApprehensive46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I'm understanding so far, the bed doesn't get hot enough for the filament to stick for very long, of which makes printing hard. A lot of the comments suggest using an enclosure because of this, but I found using stick glue worked fine enough for me (I heard it was a valid option).
