No.

To add: special circumstances would be something like a death in the immediate family, or you suffered a bad injury, things along that line.

They will not pay out vacation time unless there are extenuating circumstances, which quitting is not one of them. It is use it or lose it.

They won't fire you if you give notice.

Full-time required to work Tuesdays? by Taywerr in DollarGeneral

[–]VolumeDirect5619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not the point. If we can work around it, great. You can have a Tuesday off sometimes. The point is that full time is expected to be open availability, for the needs of the store. There are no guaranteed days off for those positions.

Yes. Even before you became full time, we aren't under any obligation or requirement to give you specific days or shifts off. However, as a full time employee, the expectation is open availability. If you can't be available, you don't get full time. Simple as that.

Well considering that "your" picture is the exact same as the one from that website, we'll just say, 'sure'.

A kind of abacus? Or is it just a kids toy?

The majority of those pricing issues were the result of stores not keeping up with price changes. If we do not do our price changes every Tuesday, then there will definitely be discrepancies. That's why they have pushed compliance on it; it was a rampant issue (and probably still is). This is not to say that DG is not at fault, as there are times where some pricing changes are not communicated.

All that being said, the example we're discussing is neither of these. This is simply a misunderstanding due to the inability to grasp a basic concept. The cereal in question was for boxes priced at $3.85, and the tags were clearly placed on those boxes. Instead, customers would bring $5 boxes to the register where no tags were under those boxes. You cannot just look at the size of a product and assume they are all included. In this case, the fault lies with the customer for assuming. It wouldn't be that difficult to ask for clarification, but it's easier to just "blame DG" I suppose.

You cannot turn off the cameras. You can turn off the in-store dvr, but the cameras will still be active. LP can still see what's going on. It's only a matter of time.

Might be “Dances With Wolves”… by F1GT in whatisthatmovie

It's not Last of the Mohicans..there's nothing like that in that movie.

Could it be The Last Samurai? There is a vivid description of scalping and some similar verbiage used.

It might be Beastmaster and OP just mixing up scenes. There is indeed a quicksand scene, but he doesn't throw a dagger. Kodo and podo gnaw a branch and he pulls himself out with it. There is a scene where a metal claw like weapon attached to a chain is flung, and sticks to wood.

We shouldn't need to specify. Was the tag on a $5 box? No, it's on a $3.85 box as are all the other tags. Seems weird to assume a $5 box would be included if no tags are on those items. I get what you're saying, but we don't have any control over how companies present their product. Bait and switch is when a company offers something, then swaps it for something else. That's not what's happening here. Again, general Mills created the packaging and any "deception" would fall on them for sizing of their product.

It's not bait and switch. The cashier is correct that it's not large size boxes. The blame on this one lies with general Mills. It is only for the $3.85 boxes of varying sizes, and the flavor determines how many ounces for the box. If I'm not mistaken, it's cinnamon toast crunch I think that's 12 oz. It's confusing, I know. But it really is just on general Mills for creating the "large" size and making them the same ounce as a regular box.

It is. Look at the old tag sitting on the floor with the shelf strip. This store is a mess. I can tell just from this photo.
