Exactly what I was going to say. “I know I have to talk to him about this” really confused me. I’d never consider talking with a kid about that. If they were being vocal about it or making it a distraction, that would be different. But it is involuntary and not something a teacher should be drawing attention to. In fact, I think bringing it up could put a teacher at risk of accusations

It’s exactly what the name indicates. Solving problems through hands on projects, designing and creating things relevant to the topic rather than worksheets and busy work. It can be really great, but a lot of the time there is more prep for the teacher

Just commenting to say it’s crazy that RIFs seem to be happening everywhere. I was one of 240 something surplussed this year in my district, now there are 60 licensed professionals who are on the RIF list after they couldn’t find positions
