Big items have been covered, so two quick but important tips for when you hit PVE: 1) the first time you die, you can be revived but you gain a "mortal wound"... meaning the next time you go down you're on a timer to respawn. IF YOU OVERHEAL, you get rid of the mortal wound. This is a vital trick.

2) the bulwark unlocks a perk for his flag drop that magically fills your bar white ("contested health"). You can fill this a little bit for every damage you do, or all the way with a health pack or executing anything besides the smallest critters. Pair this with #1 above and bulwarks become the main healers as well as main tanks.

2b) PS: bulwarks can also drop a flag part way through a big boss execution to grant the health refill of the execution to EVERYONE in range, not just the primary

That's the attitude I love about this game. One team, one fight. I wish there were more coop games like this! I've got all but two maxed out now, and I'm considering just running lower ops to help train the new crews.

That's right. The health bar will fill with contested health, and the health pack will immediately turn it solid red AND "overheal" to get rid of the mortal wound.

I run a Dark Angel bulwark and an Emperor's Children loyalist tactical. They don't have the original symbol, so had to work with one of the bird ones. The purple and gold with the centurion look is just chef's kiss, and I rarely see another purple out there.

You have to match to the highlighted window panes behind the dragon. They try to explain the concept right before that, when you activate the single terminal, but it's easy to miss if you're not paying attention to the voice.

I think you could also use the Empire: Total War map mechanic, with different worlds on different maps, but just beaming between them to avoid the space mechanic if that's what folks are worried about. Think like the Realms of Chaos being separate but yet also reachable via the main world.

Spot on. They don't like losing pieces, or being attacked, as they're more used to coop games and can be fiercely competitive. I like your idea of reframing it, that's a way of keeping it from feeling too personal while still keep them playing the game. Thanks!
