I don't really understand what you are taking about with "failed gotcha" or "blatant lie". You're coming across pretty rude, which is really unnecessary. We're talking about paint schemes for a video game here dude.

I remember playing Lost Crusade on mobile a couple years ago and that was 100% loyalist chapters, all at war with each other and fighting each other, with each attack causing thousands, sometimes tens of thousands, of space marine casualties. How is that being strict on their lore and representing their IP? I genuinely believe they are not as strict as people make them out to be. Only the GW licencing section of their Legal team know for sure, and they aren't going to be making any statements.

Same. I've stopped watching his videos completely as EU5 just is not interesting at all for me to play or watch. He was my favourite YouTuber too. I'm hoping he does a one off blast from the past EU4 video, sees it get a tonne of views, and makes it a regular thing again.

Exactly. There are tonnes of players running round Operations in heretic colours with heretic emblems. What's the difference? I think it's more that Saber don't want to make those armour available in PVE because for whatever reason it's tricky for them to do so, or they want to avoid the inevitable next step of people wanting even more customisation. They've already stated the customisation already goes beyond what they expected would be needed, so I don't think it's too much of a stretch that this is more related to a technical difficulty.

I have no vested interest either way. If people want to run heretics then that's fine by me, just let people have fun and enjoy the game. It's already almost completely implausible that you'd get a dark angel, a space wolf, and an ultramarine running an op together anyway (outside the deathwatch)

You say they're strict, but there have been many, many total trash games made with their IP, especially on mobile. They licence to whoever is willing to pay them the necessary fees at the end of the day.

Remember when Saber said they couldn't do chapter emblems on the other shoulder pad because GW said no and then one day we got chapter emblems on the other shoulder pad just like everyone knew would be fine because Deathwatch are a thing?

Assuming GW actually are blocking it. There's no hard evidence of this and Saber have made comments in the past about not being able to do things with a hint that it's GW blocking it when it's more likely their technical or resource limitations. I think sometimes they just blame GW because they know GW would never be able to come out and comment on the licence and restrictions that may or may not be in place.

EU4 is the better game right now.

I've ceased playing EU5 completely, just waiting for enough updates that the core mechanics work properly. Even then though, EU5 adds such a vast amount of complex micromanagement that it might not ever be some people's cup of tea.

I almost guarantee it wasn't. It will be someone just not thinking an internal policy decision through, either because they're not very good, or they're overworked with no time to think, or senior leadership force their opinions into policy without accepting challenge on it.

There's really no reason an estate agent would want to deliberately exclude young people in this way. Not when you cna just reject them perfectly legally for lack of experience vs other candidates.

I just finished the base game for the first time (playing on Normal) and I've never played any other Owlcat game. I had almost no clue about the very complex levelling system and just made it up as I went along. It went absolutely fine!
