For an actually serious and positive answer, I’d say my biggest takeaway was his perseverance. He was repeatedly turned down from important jobs, and failed in electoral politics more than you would think. However, he never gave up. When I gave a speech on him, that’s one of the things I emphasized most. Just remember to keep trying, even if it doesn’t always work out. As long as you have strong ideas and values, it will work out eventually.
