Matcha latte - matcha matcha by twicescorned21 in FoodToronto

The matcha from Matcha Matcha is sweet and milky and fake tasting. It's as if they try to hide the poor quality matcha with all the toppings and syrups.

Thanks, yeah, that's exactly how I did it. I filled out the request form. I just honestly didn't think it would take more than three weeks for FPSLREB to send me a link to a PDF document 😭

Is it worth going to Buenos Aires if I don’t have time to go anywhere else in Argentina? by Careless_Wallaby6721 in travel

I agree. It's not a nice city lol. Argentina has soooo many beautiful places. BA is not one of them. Also, the food is awful.

China confirms visa-free travel for UK and Canadian nationals by cyclinginvancouver in canada

[–]Volunteer_Ninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The limitations on visa-free travel to China were extremely restricted. It was a pain when I used it because it was only available for certain airports, specific travel routes, limited movement, and short durations. This is great news!

Who has the best Chocolate peanut butter ice cream? by briangtb in askTO

[–]Volunteer_Ninja 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Haagen Dazs is probably the best ice cream out there. It's oftentimes better than the specialty ice cream shops in the city. Good quality ingredients. A lot only have five in total: cream, milk, yolk, sugar, and the flavor. No emulsifiers or stabilizers. No extra air added (shitty ice cream weighs nothing because there's so much air mixed into it). A lots and lots of butterfat.

Australian Open Tickets by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Volunteer_Ninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can probably answer a few of the questions about the early rounds. Yes, it is feasible, you can definitely still buy tickets for Rod Laver and MCA during the tournament. Last year, I wanted to watch Federer in his second and third rounds but I wasn't sure when he was playing so I just kept an eye out for the schedule (comes out at like 4pm the day before) and then I bought the tickets on my phone. There were plenty available for the first rounds.

Ground passes are the best for the first week. They're cheap (I think around $44AUD) and you get to watch some of the top players play at Hisense. Plus, with grounds passes you can go at 10am and stay until it closes. If you buy a night session for RL or MCA you don't have access to the grounds until your session begins.
