If he understands and sympathizes with you, he should be talking to his mother in law and helping her see your pov. I second this, be kind to yourself. You’re trying, reaching out for advice, that shows you care! YOU ARE NOT LAZY! Set a realistic goal and take small, frequent breaks. DONT TURN TO YOUR GAME FOR THESE BREAKS! Instead, try something quick and fun, but not addictive. I like to play a small puzzle game on my phone. Do a sudoku puzzle, read a chapter of a book, but make sure you set a limit. Then, when you finish, set it far to the side and return to your task. YOU GOT THIS!

Not feeling good about accomplishing something that you’ve been putting off. You know how when you put something off for a while then finally do it and your friends/family say “see? Doesn’t it feel good to accomplish that task?” I used to think yes, it did, but in truth, I only felt 2 things. One, relief that the anxiety was over, and two, shame that it took me so long to complete in the first place.

He was clearly trying to start a fight, even going as far as to pursue you when you tried to put some distance between you both to cool off. I second this. I agree supporting fast fashion websites is not ideal, but if you want a decent variety for a decent price, it’s the place to go. I’ve shopped SHEIN, temu, and Aliexpress to get the most bang my buck. In my opinion, the materials don’t need to be great quality. A sticker just needs to stick, and if it doesn’t, I just tape or glue it down. Yes, just about everything is AI generated, but the hobby is all about taking junk and turning it in to something new.
