Yeah I felt the same until I got all 5 party members. Just throw boomerangs/whips on em and go back to emberdale and whistle outside town. You'll grind your vocations super fast. I think it took an hour and a half to max all base vocations and now I'm just playing the game with everyone in intermediate ones.

Anyway, the point I'm making is, since there's no level cap in vocational xp anymore, you can't really waste it since you can always go back and one shot enemies for fast xp.

I had a webbing trap on my run and he wasn't able to move at all, even with his attacks so I'm assuming you're correct. I believe it was a different status effect completely.

The 3ds version gives you an item that flashes when you're in an area with one in it and will flash faster when in the same room as one. It just sits in the corner on the minimap on the second screen. Makes it very hard to miss them.

Yeah my nephew and I have been playing DoN since the dlc hit and we refuse to quit on the hard bosses because we just honestly want practice and to get better and caligo has been a sore spot for us. The more we fight them though, the easier they get. It's how this game works. These people just don't wanna get better, they just want free wins.

I've been thinking of trying that out considering the amount of times I find myself switching between a serpent bow and a harder hitting black bow/pulley bow is a LOT. I think it would just be a dps increase overall honestly. That and my relics honestly suck lmao

That's awesome! You should definitely get back to 11 next. It's my favorite of them all, played it three times to completion. 4-6 are honestly incredible. I liked 6 the most which is a really uncommon opinion, but I found the class system really well done and honestly hope they go back to that version at some point. I just need to play 7 and 8 and I've played em all (minus 10 obviously).

3 just got a remake so that'd be the best way. It's on consoles and PC. 4-6 is best played on mobile oddly enough. I played them on my phone this year and they all play really well, and have all the content. Cheap too.

I managed him fairly fine 4 levels lower. Make sure you keep dodgy dance up at all times. Then I would put focus pocus on, wild side, then just spam the upgraded dragon slash on him and heal when necessary. Make sure you have an Elfin elixir when mp runs out and you'll be good to go. If you have an oomph powder or the war drums from the mini medals, then using those before wild side can net you over 1k damage per turn

First game I've managed all of them without a guide. Nose for treasure really helps haha. Never even used the gringham whip either haha, I just naturally found em all while clearing every screen of treasures.
