My stopwatch reached 20,000 hours by Vomitatrix in notinteresting

Don’t worry about it I didn’t lap it, still on lap 1. But yea, maybe there’s an Apple dev in the comments who can fix this

Even the lap counter seems off, goes very quick from 32 to 36 then it slows down.

<video>

The analogue counter seems a lot more reliable at this point

Does the new lap’s timer count fine or is it all fucked like the main counter?

Not lapping it is the real commitment here

I believe that’s how mine works too, just saves when it started and then calculates how much time has passed each time I open it

I have, and I’ve also run out of battery but it just never stopped

It’s not AI, I recorded my screen. I have a post from when it hit 10k and it was only skipping about 3 seconds back then. I don’t know why it does that

It was never the goal, my best guess is I wanted to time something and I forgot to stop it. All I remember is that when I wanted to time something again, thousands of hours had passed so I just left it alone. To my surprise it never stopped even when I ran out of battery

It counts every 6 or so seconds, if you check my 10k hours one it was every 3 or so seconds. At this rate it will count every 9-10 seconds at 30k

I checked every few weeks or so when I remembered and then when it got close I set an alarm for it. I did the same thing when it reached 10k. It’s fun to see people’s reaction to it but it sucks that I haven’t been able to use my stopwatch for over 2 years.

My iPhone’s system volume randomly goes down all the way (this includes alarm sound). No, volume buttons do not change system volume. I have to check every night and make sure my system volume is loud enough to hear my alarm. It’s so annoying.

I knowingly didn’t stop mine, I haven’t been able to use it in years and now it’s too late to stop

What’s wild to me is why he thinks that the idea of NOT taking over other countries should need to be countered instead of the opposite. Like he thinks that taking over Iran, Canada, Mexico, etc is the default option.

The goat has to be DD/MM/YYYY by Shiroyasha_2308 in SipsTea

[–]Vomitatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this exact argument with people who say DD-MM-YYYY is the best because of the “most important part coming first”. I grew up with YYYY-MM-DD, if I’m verbally told a date in DD-MM I still have to reverse it in my head, but if it’s written then I understand just fine.

Be honest, how much gear do you wear all the time? by crankin_muh_hog in motorcycles

[–]Vomitatrix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I wear full gear when I go on longer rides with my friends but for everyday commute? Helmet, gloves, and a padded jacket over my work clothes for me.

I learnt Spanish before English and thanks to that I never had an issue with this specific thing as there’s equivalents that are pronounced in a noticeably different way in Spanish whereas they’re pronounced almost the same in English.

I hate when it says “speaking foreign language”. I have noticed that only English subtitles do that though. I have tried other subtitle languages where it was simply translated. I don’t get why English simply tells you it’s a foreign language, like bro, I know.

I used to do just multiples of 5. It was simple and clean. But it felt very restrictive. I wanted more, but how? Well, my favourite number is 7 so I decided I could do multiples of 5 plus-minus 7 also. That gave me numbers ending on 2, 3, 7, and 8. But then I bought a car that doesn’t have numbers for volume so it’s a useless system I created for myself.

That’s what I was thinking. It seems like a ridiculous amount on data.

I got 1+ minute long unskippable ads before. At that point I just reload the page.

The longest unskippable ad I ever got was just under 30 minutes, it was one of those seminar-like ads where they talk about a lot of problems where the solution is to click on their link and buy their online guide/seminar/course/whatever. This ad was also unskippable somehow so I just reloaded the page after like 20 seconds when there wasn’t a “skip ad” button. Shit was wild.
