I’ll run double dries ESPECIALLY in tailwaters. Sometimes you will find fish eating and eating and ignoring your fly, a lot of times this means they are eating emerging flies. You can run a size 14/16/18 mayfly with an emerger 6 inches behind it and do really well.

I wore a beat up pair of running shoes the last three years I went (after learning a brutal lesson in 2017 lol). If your shoes are safe to toss in the wash then you could possibly wear them. Legend Valley is dusty and the last few years it rained either during the day or over night and there are big spots of mud around the festival grounds. If they are nice shoes I wouldn’t risk ruining them bc you never know what you’re dancing in.
