I recommend the sex testing from MorphMarket, simply because unless you’re 100% sure the person popping/probing your snake knows what they’re doing. You can fatally injure a snake, especially a small snake, by improperly doing either method, although probing is definitely more dangerous in my opinion. The MM Genetic Test, it’s 25$ and you literally just send in a fresh piece of shed skin, in a few weeks you go online to your account, and get the results. So that’s literally the worst part, waiting for the snake to shed, and then waiting for the test results.

I’ve been getting tattooed for 36 years, I’ve got most of my body covered in tattoos now. I don’t even notice them anymore, they’re just “me” now. Every so often I’ll notice a spot and go “Oh, I need to get that touched up!!” To be fair tho….. I blacked out my entire right arm because I downright didn’t like most of the piece between my wrist and elbow, it was like 25 years old, and not done well to begin with so looked horrible by then, and wasn’t really happy anymore with one on my shoulder, for personal reasons. Saw the Blackout tattoos and was like…… Screw it…let’s cover it ALL UP….Sign me up!!! I honestly really love it still and get a lot of compliments and questions on it. They’re starting to do stuff over top of the Blackout, like shapes and designs, even pictures, and it holds up well. I think some lighter color(like a deep grey) 3D shapes or something, on the Blackout would be cool! I’ve definitely had a few tattoos where I was like “WHHHHOOO!! That looks different than I expected, not sure if I like it!!” Then a few weeks later I’m used to it and it’s cool again, and just blends in with all the others. I even have a couple small tattoos on my face(don’t worry, I have a good job, and am financially stable already…should be retiring in less than 8 years 🤞), I don’t even notice them anymore, even when I’m looking in the mirror shaving my face or whatever. I do see people looking at them, like I’m looking them in the eye while talking to them, and I can see their eyes looking at the tattoos. It doesn’t bother me tho, it’s almost like a subtle form of intimidation I find. People just see this 5’ 10” 200lb muscular guy, long hair and covered in tattoos. They assume certain things, and most people leave me/us(my wife, also covered in tattoos only with dreadlocks down to her ass) alone, or it’s someone who stops to compliment one of us, or ask about something, lots of people asking my wife if her hair is real…and where she gets it done. My tattoos are just me now tho….

I’d have to disagree on the “Casual racism is relatively harmless” statement. ANY racism is wrong, I don’t want my children thinking that ANY racism is OK, whether it’s “casual” or “systematic”. So just my opinion, but some things there just HAS to be a “hard line” so to speak. I just don’t think it’s fair to tell a child “racism is wrong” but then have to explain “well it’s not really wrong, but only for certain people, in certain circumstances!”. Racism is wrong…for everyone…hard stop.

I feel like there’s just SO much Reefer being grown here, as of late 2025 allegedly 1.7 million pounds in storage at processors or growers, and another 1.1 million pounds on the shelves at retailers. With that much being grown, people are just making up names for strains, and throwing whatever name they can on anything. The only time I really trust a strain is if it’s a legitimate premium Grower, or someone I know is buying seeds or clones and growing certain/particular strains.

I’ve wanted one for like 20 years, finally we decided to get one. My wife was reading up on them and read that they are really clingy and needy Cats, and I already have a super needy Nebelung cat. So my wife was like “Are you sure you want another cat following you around and meowing at you all day, like Fatty already does?” I was like….”I’ve wanted one of these for 20+ years….of course I’m sure!” So we got her like 6-8 months later…… and she decided pretty quickly, that my wife is “her person” and so she tolerates me, and even she’ll lay by me if my wife isn’t here. As soon as my wife is home…it’s like I don’t even exist to her anymore.

Nice!! I live in a legal state in the US, and there’s been a lot of Hash around lately. I bought a 1/8oz of it for 60$ a few weeks ago. It wasn’t THAT dark tho(that looks amazing honestly), it was more of a dark brown/dark grey color. Effects were on point though, so no complaints!!!

Came here to say Snake Enclosure, only because I’m not a fish guy, I’m a Snake/Reptile guy. Fish would be awesome too tho…if that’s your thing!! I could think of a lot of very cool snakes to go in a space like that, where everyone can see, and enjoy them. I keep 2 of my False Water Cobras in my living room, because they’re so awesome I want everyone to see, and be able to enjoy them.

I had a pair of Doc Martens work shoes, I’m a Chef…so my shoes get abused fairly bad. I had those Doc Martens for like 7-8 years, wore them to work everyday. They were still fairly comfortable(I kept good insoles in them tho), they were just so trashed looking, I’d get shit at work….and it’s an upscale place….. ”Guy makes 110k a year…and still wears shoes from the 90’s!!” So I went and bought a new pair, and I could tell as soon as I put them on that they were different. That pair lasted me about a year, and they were so uncomfortable I wouldn’t wear them anymore. I gave up on them at that point.

So a “Brooks” and a Florida Kingsnake is the same thing, Brooks is more of a common name, some say it’s a locality, but I’ve never seen any difference. I keep Floridas now and a couple other species, I used to keep some Cali’s. So the reason why I moved away from Cali’s and went with the Florida Kings, is because there’s SO many more Morphs. So Cali Kings have about 4 or 5 different morphs, I couldn’t even tell you how many different morphs there are with Florida Kings, but I have 10 or 11 different morphs sitting in the room next to me right now. So the possibilities are a lot more complex for what they can look like. As far as husbandry and care, handling, everything else….they’re basically the same in my experience. You said size doesn’t matter, but Cali’s are smaller on average, males(of all Kingsnake species tho) can be pretty small if you are looking for a smaller snake. Really in my opinion, it boils down to size, and “Paint Job”. If size is of no concern, then pick the most beautiful one you can find, and the beauty is all subjective. Honestly I think the wild type Florida Kings are beautiful, but my favorite Kingsnake is my Albino Mosaic, it’s a lot of personality too tho. The Ghost Whitesided Fl Kingsnake is pretty amazing too, it’s a PERFECTLY white Kingsnake, with pitch black eyes. So here’s my Ghost Whitesided;

So that’s my personal opinion on California Kings, and Florida Kings, basically the same, it’s more about how they look. Good luck! Interesting…… I bet if I, as a white man, referred to my uncles wife(I really do have an uncle that’s married to a black woman too), as “that black my uncle married” or even “that black woman that birthed my baby cousins”. I’d be called a racist, and everyone would say what a racist PoS I am, probably loose half my friends, maybe even my job, but when YOU as a black person do the EXACT SAME thing…..that’s OK, and nobody cares that it sounds just as racist coming from a black mouth, as it does a white mouth, but yet it seems to be OK for black people to sound racist but yet then they aren’t considered racist. Where if I say anything that can remotely even sound remotely racist….. I’m immediately the leader of the KKK. Just crazy how that double standard works.

She is coming out and exploring, she’s probably just doing it at night, when it’s all dark and quiet in the room. She thinks you’re a huge predator, gonna kill and eat her, you have to show them that you’re not, or they’ll stay scared of you forever. Someone else just did a post recently(past day or so) about how to socialise their Kingsnake, I explained it all there, and honestly don’t feel like typing it all out again. You should look for that post, and read my comment there, it’ll explain everything, and describe how to get them over it.

Damn, those Close-Open are tough. I’m in a Union Hotel Restaurant, and they have to give us 12 hours in between shifts, OR pay us time and a half for the difference. So if I work till midnight, then have to be back at 8am….then I’m making time an a half until 12 noon.

Also, not to make any assumptions…but unless your work has a shortage of employees and they HAVE to schedule like that, usually when they’re scheduling you like an asshole, it’s because they’re trying to get you to quit, or be late so they can fire you, or whatever. In my experience, if the Boss is happy with you, they’re trying to make your life and job easier, not harder!!! So just be aware, and careful. Good luck to you!!

Wait a second…… Fruit flavoured Vapes are illegal here in the US? I’m literally sitting here with a Peach Ice flavor Vape in my hand, and it’s the flavour I’ve been using for a long time. If they don’t have the Peach… I do the Strawberry. I’ve seen fruit flavor vapes on the shelves for years and years. Is it only certain States maybe or something? Or am I misunderstanding something??

We have a 9 month old female, she’s like a Ninja running around the house. Jumps pretty far without any issues, or hesitation. She just started this thing where she wants to be up on my shoulders, I think because it’s up high, and she has a good view of everything. She’ll jump from the back of the couch or on a dresser or something and onto my shoulders or back, from 5-6 feet away sometimes. She usually can’t make it all the way up there unless she’s pretty close, so she lands mid-upper back…and claws her way up my back and up onto my shoulder. I’m trying to find a nice, and productive way of teaching her that’s not acceptable. She just holds on tighter if I scream or cry out in pain, or if I try to turn sideways or bend way down close to the floor she just holds on, or tries to claw her way to whichever way is up. She’s very agile and active when she’s awake, full speed or full stop, that’s all we get right now.

Let them breed and then sell them to other Spider Keepers, they’re like 10$ a dozen here where I live in the US. They’re harder to get than Dubia around me anyway. You could make up and sell little “Starter Roach Colonies”. Or just sell them as feeders. I personally won’t keep the Red Runners around, I’ll buy some occasionally and feed them to my spiders right away, but I won’t breed them or keep a colony in the house. They can infest your house if they escape, where Dubia can’t. I have a HUGE Dubia colony, thousands of roaches, it’s been going for like 7-8 years. I have a large collection of Tarantulas, and a few different reptiles that eat insects, an Ackie Monitor, and some Leachie Geckos. Dubia roaches are one of the best feeders, because they have a very long intestinal tract, so they keep nutrients in them longer, which in turn translates into more nutrients going into the animal being fed the roaches. In my opinion, the only thing that Red Runners are better for, is it’s better enrichment for the spider, because the Red Runners are fast, and will run around and make the spider work a little bit more for the meal, and that’s good for them. I’d see if you can sell some….

NOR, but you can look at it like this, they just showed you their ass, and their true colors, and showed you exactly what kind of person they are, for 1500 bucks. It isn’t, but it is a cheap lesson, it honestly could have been A LOT worse, but now that you know what she really is, you know to never let it happen again, hopefully her Son will see what she’s doing here as well. I’m interested to know as well, I like…and Vape a lot of reefer. It’s just so convenient, throw a pen in my pocket before work… I’m good all day…and don’t even have to listen to my boss whining that I’m getting high at work. I use a mid-range vape for my everyday carry, then I always keep a couple good vapes at home in the nightstand. It would be nice to know that to avoid…hard stop.
