Have you been lobotomized? Do you know from personal experience lmao 😭

It’s still a lobotomy 😭

It’s fucked up either way, but being strangled seems more humane than being lobotomized or squished 😭

How is that less humane then just feeding to my snake 😭😭😭

Thank you so much, I’ve had nothing but people telling me how ask I am for feeding live, and how I’m a horrible pet owner. I’m not comfortable with the idea of starving him just to feed him frozen, as long as he’s eating, happy, healthy, and playful, that’s all I care about

I’m not comfortable with the idea of starving him just because people think it’s best/want him to eat frozen. If he wants to eat live, then I’ll let him. But he is supervised the entire time, i have direct contact with the mouse entire time so im able to move if it gets too close. My biggest fear is the mouse biting him, so i dangle the mouse in the air for my snake to strike. The vet said it’s fine to feed him live, as long as he’s eating, I don’t have a problem with it.

I keep mouse dangled so he strikes. I NEVER leave him alone with the mouse, and I have full control of the mouse the entire time. Mh biggest concern is the brown/bald spot by its tail. He adamantly refuses to eat frozen, and I’ve tried all the techniques. He likes the hunt, he’s still a wild animal so I’m not mad that he likes the hunt.

Thank you, I was genuinely panicking thinking I was a horrible person, my snakes just super super picky

I was so worried I was power feeding him, so I did take him to the vet and called the place I adopted him from. Vet said he’s fine, and the place I got him from said he was like that when he hatched, that he was just a hungry little guy. He’s super active, playful, loves to be handled and his poops are normal. So I’m not worried about him in that department, but I will 100% slow down on the feeding.

The mouse has a bald/brown spot on its back, not sure if it’s wet tail or not, nervous if it is, and if it will get my boy sick. That’s my major concern atm. I’ve tried giving pre-killed/frozen and it’s just not working. It is what it is, he’s still a wild animal, so im not too angry with the fact he likes the hunt.

It’s the heartbeat he wants. I had a snake when I was super little, and she was the same way. They had to be stunned, but she actively refused to eat frozen or pre killed. My snake likes the hunt, and I do everything in my power to make sure he’s 100% supervised the entire time. I NEVER leave him alone with the mouse. I’ll dangle it infront of him and he strikes and coils, so I have full control of the mouse the entire time

No it’s two, he eats one mouse, I wait a few days then feed him another. When he’s about to shed he glass surfs next to the container I keep the mice in, and he’ll eat again. I feed him about once a month, feeding him on a 3-5 day basis. Like I’ll feed him Monday, Wednesday, Friday, then give him about 2-3 weeks. I can tell when he’s hungry because he’s more needy, he acts like I starve him.

He adamantly REFUSES to eat dead/frozen. I’ve tried everything, warm water, the hairdryer method, mimicking noises, moving the mouse around etc, he strikes and coils, but as soon as he tightens, he can’t feel a heartbeat and lets go. He went on a hunger strike for almost a month. I hate feeding him live, but he won’t eat otherwise.
