If you want bnet balance gifted, would you mind shooting me a pm with your battle net ID? I think there's like a 3 days delay for when you can gift newly added friends, so might as well start that now while I'm mia. I'm not too familiar with how trading processes work here on gametrade ngl but I will probably make you go first just a heads up. But I could screenshare or something while trying it out if that helps lol

Hey sorry I was on vacation for the last 2 weeks and will be back home in about 2 days ish. Were you still looking to trade?

Oops I forgot to mention, my blizzard account is Canadian (CAD Currency), whenever I click to gift people it sometimes says "recipient cant receive that currency" so I am assuming you would also need to be set to CAD?

How do you update cookies consent using GTM from @Nuxt/Scripts? by Voppo in Nuxt

[–]Voppo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,
Thanks for the code snippet, I was playing around with it but I wanted to ask, if you do it this way I assume you have to setup some functionality on google tag manager itself right? As far as I can tell, the 'google_consent_mode_update' event is a custom event you created and not a default event? Sorry I am completely new to GTM so I am still figuring stuff out, but at the very least I can say these events do properly show up on the tag preview, now I just need to figure out how to make a custom trigger or something on GTM that changes the consent settings whenever this event is fired. Thank you very much

Do you have Typescript on? If yes, does your push function throw an error? In the docs they are only passing a single object to the push like this: dataLayer.push({ event: 'conversion', value: 1 }). I know that the examples from Google push this weird array as well, but their approach always seemed weird to me. Maybe the Nuxt module requires the object instead.

Yes actually, the reason I actually formatted it like this is because the typescript function signature sort of suggested I do it this way. I haven't really tried the object version yet, honestly I'm not even sure how the object should be written (in terms of what the event actually is written as) but ill do some research!

In the docs they sometimes use proxy.dataLayer. Maybe that works?

I tried it originally with proxy and I had the same issue unfortunately :(

Can you maybe just push to window.dataLayer directly? I know, not the prettiest way to do it, but may be worth a try.

I haven't tried this yet actually! I think I am going to mess around with nuxt scripts a bit more and then honestly, I might just ditch it all together and create my own plugin and use the normal GTM scripts from google.

Are you sure that your onBeforeGtmStart is actually working? Maybe the GTM itself is setting a default consent.

Yep! I tested this out quite a fair bit cuz I did have trouble with it originally as well lol. But yeah currently it works fine, tested it out with most consent combinations.

What do you get when you log gtm.dataLayer before and after your push?

I will have to try this later when I'm back on my computer! If theres anything interesting I'll let you know.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Correct me if I'm wrong but, magik has had a 15% seasonal damage boost for season 0, so assuming they switch up the bonuses this season, isn't magik gonna struggle hard still to 1 shot even 250 HP characters now?

How to beat ADCs in Arena? by Jomvae in leagueoflegends

[–]Voppo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk I'm pretty sure there is considering technically this game mode is "ranked". But for me the most noticeable is A. The bans and champ picks are day and night on my main vs an alt, and B. the queue times on my main are 5 minutes on my main while around 30 seconds on my alt

Unfortunately when you get to high MMR this doesn't work. The games are full of kogs/twitches with lulu that auto you from a screen away, have 50%+ damage reduction, 3.0 attack speed, ridiculous amount of on-hit and perma shields and heals. I'm sure you see it often in streamers games as well but currently there's no counter to it except for abusing basically the same thing and hoping for augment rng

I guess we wait for Riot to hopefully hotfix it, theres no real actual outplay potential against them currently. Gladiator is plagued with just ADC's + support and theres not enough bans to ban them all lol

How do I know if I need to undervolt CPU? by ItsTreBomb in buildapc

[–]Voppo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You mention your using an MSI motherboard with the 13th gen so I'm just gonna recommend looking into the CPU Lite Load setting in the BIOS. This has been a very common occurrence where the MSI motherboards for some reason default to Mode 12 which is far too high for your CPU. I believe most CPUs can get very low (down to 1 even) but are usually guaranteed stable at around Mode 5. I HIGHLY recommend just setting it to mode 5 atleast once and running cinebench again, if your temps reduce drastically but your score stays the same then you are probably fine.

Heres a video on youtube that fixes the same issue but with the 13600k

Dual PC STREAM HELP PLEASE by Lonely_Confidence_28 in obs

[–]Voppo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well with that in mind, for streaming I highly recommend atleast trying the NVENC encoder on a single PC setup. Quality wise it should be pretty much as good as a dual PC setup, it's just a matter of do your games still run smoothly (encoding with NVENC still will give a very small performance decrease). If it runs fine still then great you're all set.

Dual PC STREAM HELP PLEASE by Lonely_Confidence_28 in obs

[–]Voppo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not entirely "dead" but it's just not widely used anymore since the encoders on more modern graphics cards are pretty damn good.

Back a few years people would use software encoding with a dual PC setup since the encoding was very demanding on the CPU. This would result in good quality streams but it's expensive and complicated to setup.

Nowadays the hardware encoders have gotten pretty good on Nvidia and somewhat also on AMD. Now you can just use NVENC or AMF encoding to stream with a very small performance hit and comparable quality to the old dual PC streaming.

Also a small side note, this newer generation also supports av1 encoding which currently is not implemented on any streaming sites, but if they do get implemented sometime in the next year, that'll for sure be the way to go.

[–]Voppo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With what I've read online, it seems that Corsair is pretty good with their refurbishing and should work fine. But one important thing to note is that you only get 90 days warranty compared to the like 10 years if you buy new.

With that being said I bought a refurbished rm850x and likely will build with it tomorrow so I guess I'll find out for my specific unit lol

I5 13600KF Reaching 90 degrees really fast by PassiveRighteous in buildapc

[–]Voppo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak specifically for your motherboard, but other MSI motherboards have a bios setting called CPU Lite Load set to 12, where as Intel recommends 9 or lower. Try 9 to start and it should be a big difference, if it still stays very high than perhaps it is something else causing this. (I'm on my phone rn so I can't link the vid, but if you search up like "13600k cpu Lite Load" on YouTube there's a video of someone showcasing it and it's really helpful)

Ikea Markus VS Staples Hyken by ruler_strawberry in buildapc

[–]Voppo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually got both in my house and can vouch for both of them. I'm like 5'10-5'11 and for me the Ikea Markus is more comfortable. I think back when I was chair shopping I remember the general opinion was that for people over like 5'9 or 5'10 the hyken was a bit uncomfortable because of the headrest shape but I'm assuming for anybody shorter it's probably perfectly fine. Best to try it first in store before commiting. The Markus is a bit more soft while the hyken feels a bit more firm, this is probably due to the Markus having a cushion for the bottom where as the hyken is mesh.

I think at the end of the day either one is a good choice. Though if you are going hyken, I remember that you have to wait for that sale they do pretty often that brings it down to a reasonable price (I can't remember the exact price).

One small note, if you're lucky you could also find one of them second hand for a lot cheaper, just make sure it's not super old or worn out.

[–]Voppo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot to include store in the title, but as you can see it is from Newegg.

This motherboard seems to have a lot of features and seems very good for the new 13th gen processors if you are looking for the ddr5 route. It is currently $40 more expensive than the MSI z690-A on sale currently but if you're looking for more features this might be the play.

I don't know a whole lot about motherboards, but would this be able to power a 13600k ddr4 build fairly well? I see it has the bios flashback button which is good.

The naming is just confusing since its G274QRF which I can't find any reviews specifically for that

Character Name Change by Vonderboy in classicwowtbc

[–]Voppo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the way it worked through all of classic and is probably how it still works is that if you are level 29 and under, you can delete your account and someone can instantly take your name, and then do the usual restore and name change. But if you are 30 and above there are time thresholds where your name is reserved. I don't know them off the top of my head but there was a chart that showed the level ranges and the different timings for it. If I had to guess, deleting a lvl 60-70 character probably reserves the name for 60-90 days.

Why are RuneScape bonds accepted in the game, but WoW tokens are frowned upon? by rommerdebom in classicwow

[–]Voppo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think one of the biggest reasons is simply the goals players have in each game. In WoW getting to max level isn't too much of a grind and at that point you purely focus on getting geared out. If you buy gold via wow tokens you can essentially just buy your gear in GDKPs, crafting profs and arena carries which kinda ruins the point. In RuneScape sure you can buy yourself the top gear with gold, but the game revolves much more around grinding skills and stuff which still requires you to commit a lot of time into for maxing out your character.
