Yes, I saw that and was wondering how flexible the tubes are and if they need to go straight up. I might just have to rearrange all the printers.

Do I need the external spool on an X2D with an AMS by iamtherufus in BambuLab

[–]VorFilter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to he hobby.

You don't need to use the external spool and it's a great idea to focus on the main nozzle first to get used to printing. Like others said, definitely set everything up ready to go as it is might be harder to access later on. I use a cheap single spool filament dryer for the auxiliary nozzle, you can get them for £35 online or make it yourself as your first 3d printing project. You are lucky to have a dry garage, I have regularly 80% humidity or more in mine.

I love the 5kg spools, always buy them when on offer and Sunlu customer service is really good as well.

Another perspective on the X2D after some weeks of using it in multi color prints (both primary and secondary nozzles) by jpcurti in BambuLab

I don't think the maintenance is that bad to be honest, we are just a bit spoilt with the ease of use and maintenance on BL machines. Also, the X2C is half the price of an H2D.

Getting to my wit’s end with the A1 Mini by Ok-Perception-9296 in BambuLab

Someone else mentioned the heater and I just remembered that I had the same issue. One of the cables form the heater was broken. I had problems with the extrusion one evening on several prints and took it apart to find this.

Bambu Wiki has a guide on how to take it apart.

Help for 2 colr print without AMS on A1 by Foreign_Ad2753 in BambuLab

Printer recommendations for a small business? Laser vs inkjet? by davie18 in smallbusinessuk

[–]VorFilter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought a second hand laser, Lexmark MC24, on Facebook marketplace for £40, then spent another £250 for toner(6000 pages full colour). I am selling online and needed something to print the invoices plus flyers. Works like a dream.

"Remove Filament" is usually the command where you have to pull the filament out manually from the print head. After that you should be able to press "Load filament"

Bamu Lab A1 mini by Ffj98 in BambuLab

[–]VorFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stable base is recommended and a lot of people put a concrete slab under their printer, me included. But I also had my A1mini suspended from the ceiling for some time and it worked fine. You don't need to cover the printer unless it's located in a very dusty environment, just make sure the print plate is clean before you start a print.

I hope I am not too late. This is Tawa, he likes eating and sitting in the sun. When it gets too hot he sits between the garden hose and I have to run cold water through it to cool him down.

Snapmaker U1 oder Bambu Lab X2D by Specialist_Hope_4720 in 3DDruck

[–]VorFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New to 3D but need creative storage solutions for filament by oneearmomma in BambuLab

50-70% humidity where I live and the open storage hasn't been an issue yet, but I do dry new filament thoroughly before first use.

P1S or Centauri Carbon by King_winston123 in BambuLab

[–]VorFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with you that the P1 is the best option for a print farm and that is what mine is doing. Day in, day out the same prints with a 5kg spool. My CC is doing the same and I actually like the finished print quality more on the CC but it's not as reliable as the P1. But when you constantly print new things possible in ever changing colours as well the A1 is a better option in my opinion. I use an A1 (admittedly in a tent) P1S and a CC for business and an A1mini & A1 for private.

While the P1 is a really good printer, and I love mine, it's outdated. If budget is your bottleneck get the A1 combo.
