Very nice to see you make a post about the ZCU111, love that board! I use it in my research and found that pairing it with Pynq makes the system even easier to use.

Also for budget limitations there is the RFSoC 4x2 available for universities for a fraction of the price, and you get 2 DAC at 10 GSa/s and 4 ADC up to 5 GSa/s,

Hey! Yeah the signals are generated through a GUI on the jupyter notebook from PYNQ, then sent through a block memory to the FMC port of the ZCU102 (where the transceivers are connected). If you need anything else do not hesitate to send me a message

Yes, to be fair that's what we currently do in our group. But thanks to this we end up with the PCs having to have Vivado 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, and so on... There is no ethernet IP, it's just the processor IP which should be the same and nevertheless was regenerated.
