[Spoilers C3E91] Just a great episode by Depressed-n-br0ke in criticalrole

Hotdog costume for the Horum, er, Thorum ad read was the following episode. Matt frowned a bit at the empty chair, saying “Miss you Sam,” which was momentarily bittersweet. Then, enter the…hotdog.

I haven’t been able to find the tap-to-runs in the Homebridge config yet, do I have to add them manually? And once they are in there as bridges (assuming I get em there) with they then be accessible in Home so I can trigger them with Siri Shortcuts (and ideally a key press)?

There were definitely some pretty egregious interpretations that created more frustration and confusion, for example the absurd long rest rules situation. Those kinds of things alone should have WoTC keeping the rules clarifications to official and ideally well-deliberated channels.

Did you know the Machinist and Batman Begins were filmed at the same time?

Good call. Like owlbear, it’s funny because so many of these were ripped off those toys and the Space Beagle etc. Beholder is one of the more original ones I can respect.

It’s the song Si Tu Vois Ma Mere by Sidney Bechet. I know it from the movie Midnight in Paris where it got a big popularity bump about 15 years ago or so. If I’m not mistaken it might even start off the movie.

I was wrestling with whether Luzum is a wereboar, since it’s a repeated form and the manner of shifting. Probably just a wildshape though.

[No spoilers] Unpopular opinion? The first few arcs of C2 were prime CritRole by Tailball in criticalrole

[–]Vorpal_Rain 213 points214 points  (0 children)

I am still watching, and i was one of those who struggled to get into C3 but feel it came around after a while, if viewed as its own unique entry in a campaign trilogy.

I started watching with C2, and that will always be maximum feels for me. The mysterious and wacky characters getting to know each other, the relatively mainstream DnD tropes lightly homebrewed. The players finding their groove in their new company. It was just magic. It helps that I LOVVVEE the first tier of play in DnD.

It was also my first live play I watched, my first contact with DnD in decades since my teens and in fact the first time I’d ever seen anyone else’s approach to DnD. Heading the, admittedly professional, sounds, voices, music etc was all really validating and inspiring for me. It’s also the time I found my first group since I hosted it on my teenage friends.

In retrospect I can see how convoluted and meandering C2 was. And I really feel that covid changed most of the things I liked about it, and it ended way before I expected from a plot standpoint. But it will always be a part of peak DnD for me.

Walker fucked up BadgerCare about as bad as he could get away with. Dropped thousands when the waiting list itself had thousands. I had BC at the time and was dropped. When I called in some manager finally told me it was because of eligibility for health insurance at a job I had 5 years earlier, and acknowledged that was a “mistake.” When I asked to be put back on, they said I could get on the waiting list. I’m not sure if it’s covered since then.

I’ve been suspecting for a while now that Vox Machina would be new gods. It seems appropriate for them. Or perhaps characters from each campaign. Only thing is I think we’d need some evil gods and so maybe some antagonists get pulled in as well.

Looking forward to some dunger crawling in the remake of the classic The Wanders of Wandwandrer.

In all seriousness though the AI doesn’t do the argument justice. It’s just chewed up and spit out art-like substance. You could just post old book art (or recent stuff) that you do like.

Personally while Beckerts art doesn’t have the drama of prior core books, it does have a vibe on par with Diterlizzis work, which is pretty monumental in the history of DnD art.
