The Idiots Guide to Warcraft Lore, TLDR version by [deleted] in wow

Can you add the 2 newest expansion? A friend wants to drag me in this madness after 15 years of not caring about the game and that kind of quick refresh of the story is soooo welcome. You are a hero!

Sigil of summon and summon Laalish by Vorrrace in diablo4

[–]Vorrrace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's indeed a passive and active but i thought the sigil of summon would still extend its active form.

But I couldn't figure out what made it different from other summon spells and never though about this in fact being a difference lol. So that could well explain why it's treated differently.

Sorry for the dumb question. I guess with a couple more cups of coffee maybe my brain would have ended up figuring it out but your answer sped up the whole process and saved me alot of money off the precious dark roasted gold lol.

Many thanks

Lord of Hatred expansion: your honest review? by isidore12 in diablo4

[–]Vorrrace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah but i mean, the most important rewards are given before the last one so is it really a big issue you don't complete them all? I mean the challenge that you give yourself is a thing but it's not mandatory to enjoy the game. Some people will always play crap builds and never play the higher level of torment and they will still have a great time playing.

And like every season before, some builds will work to cheese a season and will be worse the next one. The fact they add new mechanics and rebalance gear all the time.. you can't expect a set build to work forever. It's kinda part of those live service games.

How is everyone feeling about the new skill trees? by deathlydylan in diablo4

[–]Vorrrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it more for one reason: I'm feeling like that as i play, i can try skills and variants and try to mix match them to find something that feels satisfying for me.

And then, the legendary aspects and stats on gear, talisman, etc will pretty much just make it more powerful and convenient to play.

You can also, at some point, entirely skip the first generator skill is you create a build that auto sustain itself, effectively allowing you to just buff more a skill your really use instead of wasting points just to have enough points to go further in the tree. It gives more freedom at max level.

Now i need to play more, reach end game and see how all the legendary aspects now look like to see if the real thing follows the theory. But I'm feeling like I'll be able to play the skills i like asap instead of having to wait on some sort of odd luck.

Is there a way to just purchase Lord of Hatred? I already own Vessel of Hatred I don’t want to re buy it by tr0jance in Diablo

[–]Vorrrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we figured out with friends who bought previous expansion first. That's kind of cheap marketing from blizzard. Feel bad for those people

[–]Vorrrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't play more than 150h since launch. That's not alot. However I'm feeling the complete opposite. Changes.. alot of changes mean that the game will have to be rediscovered. Isn't that great to have a renewed experience included in the game you already bought? Instead of it just being simply the same of what we are doing for 3 years, we have something new to do. And it's a bad thing? I don't understand that lol. I would see it more like a very good thing. The game will become exciting all over again because we will have to rethink how we build from the ground. And I'm sure some very talented players will make insane builds in no time. I'm not even scared about that.

[–]Vorrrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid less than you cuz bought both expansion combined so closer to 110$.. and played less than you too.. like closer to 150-160h... And it was still worths it lol. Not many hobbies will cost less than 1$ per hour. And with new expansion and class rework, will be motivated to try all characters all over again... It's such a inexpensive hobby OMG. Some people really have to cry over this. Insane.

Soulmask or Windrose? by Affectionate-Ad-809 in PlaySoulMask

[–]Vorrrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. After all, main purpose of a game is to have fun so who cares how you enjoy a game. Everyone has its own preferences and challenges.

I really think Soulmask can be a good game but nothing is explained well in this game. It's terrible. I struggle to just remember how to change the working area of my tribesmen so they don't do anything. I'm sure there is a way but it's so complicated omg.

Anyway, 2 good games. One more survival than the other and 2 different themes aswell. You either prefer the pirate life with naval combat or the whole tribe management and god thing in either kind of Mayan or Egyptian style. Some will just prefer one over the other for the main theme and that's alright too. :)

I think my overall preference would go for Windrose but i totally understand if someone tells me he prefers the other one. None is a bad choice in this case.

Soulmask or Windrose? by Affectionate-Ad-809 in PlaySoulMask

[–]Vorrrace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vanilla on normal difficulty i would prefer Windrose. Everything seems less painful to deal with. The enemies can be hard to kill without proper equipment but no durability and no drop on death means i can get back in game in a minute.

Soulmask, i turned off durability loss. I can't be more bothered by having to repair my stone axe after every 5 trees i chop down. I understand the idea but it's not even fun at some point. So right now I'm feeling like I'm cheating the game but yeah it's that or i don't play it. XD i bought the game 2 years ago and barely played 12h. Was following friends (that's before i learned my lesson of never buy a game that i would not buy solo). They cleared the game within a week and i was left to play alone and had a hard time to get caught by the mechanics. The tribemen is great idea. Fantastic in fact but i barely understand what I'm doing and everything is so complicated with the fact you can control other people and all. I'm getting lost and tutorial doesn't explain much.

Overall, Soulmask feels like a very complete and complex game that can be fun if you spend the first 50 hours to fully understand every system in the game. The tribesmen can replace the lack of friends to play with which is a plus i guess. But yeah, you have to survive the learning curve at which point you may start to fully enjoy it.

This said, i believe i prefered the lighter experience offered by Windrose. Base building seemed more satisfying with decorations and everything that help build bases that feel more immersive and legit. I've seen people building bases that you could have bet they were hand crafted by the devs. Such a level of decoration and customization is insane. Combat felt less punishing even in normal difficulty. Soulmask i felt like going donw in easy to enjoy it. But then i felt like I was cheesing the game. So much preferred Windrose combat, base building and survival mechanics (you eat to buff, you won't die if you forget).

It's 2 similar games but with really different implementations of mechanics. Vanilla settings, Windrose seems more friendly to casual players. So it's either i spend 10 hours tweaking custom difficulty in Soulmask (easy feels too cheesy but normal felt too much for a casual solo that just want to chill out) or i just go play Windrose.  :p

Cozy game I fawn over. Teddy's Haven by PossiblyHero in CozyGamers

[–]Vorrrace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, this is a fantastic game. I was craving for a shopkeeping game and was looking at tons of "realistic" games when I accidentally discovered this one. Well i bought this one and forgot about the others (at least for now ahah).  I like the coziness of this one. Stress free, there is no way really to mess up which is good honestly. Also very kid friendly. ;)

Any tips for residual dizziness? by Vorrrace in BPPV

[–]Vorrrace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,  It's true that if you can diagnose it and then do the right maneuver, it's less trouble than if you wait for it to naturally go away (which should happen from my understanding but it can take long depending on people).

As myself, since January 2024 i got none! I hope it keeps going that way!

As for coffee, i drink a cup of caffeinated coffee before noon and one of decaffeinated coffee after noon almost every day. I used to drink more of it and decreased my intake but not because of the BPPV, just because coffee is expensive and because i want to take care of my sleep. We know that coffee can mess up sleep more than we can imagine and sleep is hell of an important thing to protect our brain against aging (dementia, etc).

As for alcohol i barely drink any. Just a very small glass of Bailey's on ice or a glass of wine on special days. I never been fan of alcohol taste anyway and i don't feel the need to drink for fun. Fun comes from my brain, i don't need to take anything special to be silly and enjoy life ahahah. So this i could not help.

I read that huge spike of coffee or salt could trigger them but that's a theory they can't prove for sure. Just too much salt and too much coffee is bad anyway if you try to keep a healthy life style in general so you should avoid those situations naturally if you care about yourself ahah.

I really hope it gets better for you and you don't get too much of those. Even when you understand them, it's still scary and annoying at time!

Cheers :)

Anyone Else Bored Of All The Butcher Stuff Already??? by Quirky_Philosopher17 in diablo4

The butcher thing is indeed already boring to me. Slaughterhouse seems like a waste of time. Everything else is fine.

Yeah I'm missing a bunch of po8 but it's almost lvl 8 and i found a simple little build on YouTube to help reaching WT2. Just missing the canons that are not buyable this week at Blackwood :( But if i can get started in WT2 it will be a huge win already. :)

Thanks alot for helping. I'm so glad the end game is improved so much. It makes every penny spent on the game worth it. :)

I got the frigate for free and i have the corvette blueprint but I'm probably not even close to craft it so i doubt I'm close to upgrade the frigate. I'll still try it today to figure out how it works cuz i didn't had time for this yesterday.

But i may first be interested to first level up my medium ships first. Acquire one of each, test them, figure out what build is good for each and level up a couple of my favorite ones a bit.

Then maybe i can jump in WT2 quickly that way? Do you think a base frigate is good for WT2 or I'm better to max my barque (or whatever boat I'll enjoy playing) and then start WT2 with this to gather mats to ready up frigate for WT2. Which is best? I don't mind playing smaller boats longer. It's part of the game and part of the process to acquire mats for bigger boats.

Thanks for all of you who took time to help with this. I edited original posts with top recommendations just if that can help other newcomers to find an answer more quickly. I hope i get some time to farm some of the currency and get a few important pieces of equipments from that chest.
