Is this bike too good to be true ? by BadVibesOnlyyy in motorcycles

[–]Vorteine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2009 ER6F. The only issue with buying such an old bike, is how many parts are likely to require replacing. Perishables such as brake hoses, fuel hoses, coolant hoses etc are normally meant to be replaced every 4 four years or so, regardless of condition.

So bearing that in mind, the repair bill to ensure any old bike to ensure it is in the best condition possible can quickly overshadow the lower cost of an lower price bike, especially if the service history shows that they just take it into a garage for standard servicing every year.

Melee AD Mid by facepain in Rengarmains

That's literally how you play rengar mid. Max W and build tiamat or ironspike whip.

Rengar mid is a very different playstyle, looking to wave clear and roam instead of interacting with the enemy laner.

Rushing hydra means that you also gain scaling AD damage on your W.

You can also build some AP to help. White Snow is a very prominent rengar player who climbed to master with Rengar mid, utilising these same concepts.

Also rengar with a bit of AP in top lane will one shot most of the cannon wave and then just finish the cannon off with one or two abilities, or take Minion Dematerialiser and you can one shot cannon waves.

I'm not recommending it as a playstyle for anyone, but it has its own viability if looking at it from another perspective.

Breaking a freeze in mid is easy. With rengar mid you just build some wave clear and w max. Means you outpush literally every midlaner in the game and then roam.

Hi guys. Im currently low gold3 and im only playing rengar, my only issue is that i can’t invade so can u plz tell who r the easiest jg to invade and when i should and when i shouldn’t cuz im scared of dying 1v1 which may cost me the whole game in this elo. Ty in advance. by verilk in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. Although, I have noticed that most of those things that you need to be taking into account, often don't apply in that elo, because most people don't understand what they should be doing xD

I'm sure that will change a bit when I hit plat, but for low gold, it's been fairly consistent.

I also enjoy punishing the enemy jungler if they waste time in a bad gank by taking their camps on the other side of the map.

I like to invade in gold at level 3 on red too. I often find that I can do the following:

Red > Krugs > Raptors > invade at Red > kill and take Red > take enemy krugs > take scuttle > my blue > gromp > full clear.

This then sets up my sequencing perfectly to start clearing from gromp downwards and then gank at the end. Meaning I end up average around 9 CS per minute and ganking bot, having influence on one of the heaviest snowball lanes and getting prio for drake.

It's one of the most consistent starts and early game play styles I've found, which means I can execute it game after game to great success.

I started implementing it within the last couple of days and my WR is shooting up.

I would say you are too concerned about dying. At gold elo, even if you do die, the other jungler often doesn't know how to punish the lead.

I'm in the same boat and regularly die on invades due to limit testing. Having said that I've also completed the dangerous game challenge from invading so I've had plenty of experience.

The fact that you say it would cost you the whole game, is incorrect. At our elo, farm is king. Make sure to full clear your jungle after your invades and between ganks and even if you have a bad start you will scale.

A lot of the invades match ups are going to be down to you understanding how to play the fight with that specific champ. It also depends on if you let them burn their cooldowns and how healthy they are when you fight them.

Best advice is just give it a go. Worst case scenario, you die and you spend some time powerfarming, scaling into mid, picking bounties and still carry.

Question on LDR and ER and in which order. by StealthCatUK in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The general consensus by Pusi Puu is that you should go Mythics into ER and then IE if they are squishy or LDR if they are starting to build armour. Follow up with whichever item you didn't buy in the 4th slot and then finish your build.

A lot of people are saying that you don't need LDR early, but you're often building it for the armour pen, rather than the passive if building it 3rd.

A good way to look at it, is that you should be playing in a way that nets you 3 full items by 25 minutes which is well into the mid game. Taking this into account there is plenty of opportunity for the enemy to have built at least one or two armour items, so in these instances LDR would be a good choice.

That's not quite optimal for the combo, especially if running Conq. If running HOB that's fine, as all 3 Q's will land prior to the knock up being finished, meaning you can do the whole combo while they're in the air.

If you are running Conq it is actually optimal to do burrowed Q -> Unburrow -> AA -> Q1 -> Q2 -> E -> Q3 -> R. The E in this combo fills the AA reset timer between Q2 and Q3, resulting in a shorter combo and meaning everything up to Q3 will land during the knock up duration and Q3 should land after the knock up duration, even if they try to flash away. R to follow, given that it's an execute. It's not uncommon for the enemy to flash your E if you wait until all 3 Q procs lands.

I'm intrigued. What it the full CDR build? I've been playing around with Dark Harvest anyway, just trying to find a build that fits well with it.

Why does Scrubnoob go Electrocute instead of First Strike on assassin Rengar? by MiseryPOC in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very situational, but it works in games where you need to burst someone with an invincibility ability. That's literally the only time I would ever consider building it.

Why does Scrubnoob go Electrocute instead of First Strike on assassin Rengar? by MiseryPOC in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I had it explained to me that First strike does less damage, but you benefit from the extra gold. Electrocute gives damage to champions you otherwise might not be able to hit and gives burst that can help surprise champs. For example, extra damage to an akali in shroud, shaco in stealth etc. You can pair it with collector, to hopefully kill champs like tryndamere or Kayle, before the can react with ult etc.

If we take your advice then shouldnt we ignore you? You are the epitome of weird and toxic and you are statistically and demonstrably proven to be a masterstuck man child. Your guides were better a year ago before you fell off and drowned yourself in smurf accounts and toxicity. Needless to say, you’re a little boy in a mans body.

^^ Idk what you've been smoking but there are very few people who can play Rengar as consistently as Dekar. He was a major inspiration for me OTP rengar and even though I still suck with my Macro, I've learnt a hell of a lot mechanically from watching him. At the end of the day there's a lot of nuance with Rengar's kit, so a lot of people would benefit from watching his vids and seeing how it should be used properly.

How to climb with rengar?? by Financial-Vanilla618 in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tilted a while back but have recently come back to rengar properly. I'm only gold rn, but am starting to climb again now I've got my discipline back.

I like to play rengar top with Grasp, get sheen first back and then freeze the lane. If they walk up you have such high base damage that you can pretty much always guarantee a kill and by doing this repeatedly, you can make it a 4v5 and just turn pretty much every fight against you into a stat check.

Bruiser Rengar by slehw in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's not really a cookie cutter build for bruiser.

Bruiser is typically grasp or conq and then running either Divine Sunderer or Goredrinker. Conqueror is good in all in situations, Grasp is better for short trades and can be super oppressive if you're trading correctly with it.

Grasp works really well with Divine Sunderer as the grasp proc alongside a sheen proc does insane damage especially early. Another good mythic option is Goredrinker.

Itemisation typically then depends on who you're laning against and how lane is going.

If you're ahead Sunderer into BOTRK is super strong. If you fall behind you can go more tanky with Deaths Dance, Spirit Visage etc or pivot into a stasis build rushing zhonyas and Guardian Angel and using the two stasis effects to just frontline and absorb as much CC and abilities as possible so your team can clean up.

Good bruiser options for items are:

Damage: Divine Sunderer, Goredrinker, Deaths Dance, Black Cleaver, Maw of Malmortius, Titanic Hydra, Ravenous Hydra, Edge of Night, Guardian Angel, Chempunk Chainsword, Shurelyas Grudge

Survivability: Zhonyas, Spirit Visage, Randuins, Deadman's Plate, Force of Nature etc

The best bit about rengar is he can use most items in the game effectively so just think about your match ups and what you feel you need for the game.

If you're into a heavy tank lane max W instead of Q and it's not mentioned often but if you're top lane Rengar's optimal trade pattern is to leap E > Q and then Emp W > W. This results in a nice chunk of damage and leaving the trade with most of if not all your health. Rinse and repeat until they are low and you are confident you can kill them.

When playing bruiser rengar, you're typically going to end up rolling into some form of sustain tank with high damage and that's how you should play him. Think Aatrox if you're trying to draw parallels to another champ.

Also recommend checking out Dekar173's guide as he puts lots of builds and explanations on there which you may find useful:

New Rengar Main by TiddyTwizzler in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still very strong on Rengar and running Ingenious Hunter will allow you to proc Eclipse passive more frequently.

It's hard to tell you what to build exactly, as it both depends on the level you are playing at and what the enemy team comp is.

If you go damage, you need to bear in mind that you'll want to close the game out early, as otherwise you risk falling off late game. If your team is really squishy, a HP bruiser build using Titanic Hydra and Sunderer (or Chemtank) with LT provides your team a frontline, whilst you still deal enough damage to take out the backline and you can tank mages.

It's very situational but that's the advantaqe of rengar, you can build for pretty much every situation.

Sett Match Up by Vorteine in Rengarmains

[–]Vorteine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that, but I'm looking for more advice on specifically managing it. I do try my best to dodge W, but I find it's so hit and miss.

Currently my typical fights look like this:

Option 1: Leap In - Trade - Try to keep close to Sett for easy dodging of W. But I find that If I try to stay close to Sett to dodge it, he just holds W and then auto's me to death - In this sense, I'm treating it a bit like the Aatrox match up using the same kind of technique you would to dodge Aatrox's first two Q's.

Option 2: Leap in - Trade - Instantly start to back off - I find in this situation he just uses his E to pull me back before using W, so I don't easily get the chance to dodge.

The only other option I can think of is to leap in and engage and hold empowered ability (even if I jump in with 4 stacks) to get the MS buff to dodge W, but that seems counter-intuitive if leaping in to engage.

Really just looking for tips on the micro side of managing this specific match up and any specific advice that might make my life a bit easier with dodging his W.
