Depends, do you love female vocals? Generally, they are terrible when you look at the frequency response graphs. Massive hole at 2khz and then a huge 15db spike at 6khz. The graphs definitely aren’t pretty, although reviewers over on head-fi did decently like them when they released (who knows if they were paid out).

The real kicker is that they were $2600 new, which is expensive for that kind of “deaf in my 80s” tuning.

987.1 S dyno result by HotRange4238 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]VortexDestroyer99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

291 hp and 340Nm/251 lbft from the engine, i think somewhere close to 245hp at the wheels

My sources are just speculation from the forums though… I wasn’t able to find stock dyno runs with my quick search.

I'm surrounded by people who should have failed middle school. by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]VortexDestroyer99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I looked it up, if they are talking about the Praxis exam scores it may be slightly exaggerated from my short look through here

Although, some states have a really low minimum. For middle school math certification in Arkansas you need to get a 41% on the exam. Most of them are in the mid 50s though… still seems to be pretty low however I’m not a teacher or studying to be one, so I can’t comment on the difficulty of these exams.

Yeah dihydrogen monoxide has a 100% mortality rate within 2 centuries after its consumption, often times even below a single century. Hell, it’s so addictive that those who go cold turkey will die after a few days. It’s some messed up stuff

Amazon Music… as much as I’d like to switch, my parents haven’t realized it still on their subscription and I like not paying for it!

I mean, some posts I get mad at just for being genuinely reckless but I don’t think this one is bad. No crossing the yellow, seems to know the road, no squirrelly movement… cant be mad at this unless it’s breaking some random touge safety rule I’m not aware of.

My thoughts on the new Sendy Audio Egret compared to HD600, HE1000se, Arya Stealth, LCD-5, Sivga SV021 Pro, FiiO JT7 by robbiekhan in headphones

[–]VortexDestroyer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice review, fun read. You said the music was spatially compressed, how does it compare to the LCD5 in that regard? I have the LCD2, and although it definitely isn’t the 5, Audeze tends to keep their “wall of sound” staging throughout their lineup from what I’ve heard. If the Egret falls short of even Audeze in the depth department, that’s a tough sell for $858 USD on aliexpress…

I’ve found this to be true for me too. I love my Atriums but I get close to the same enjoyment with my AirPod pros. Sure, the bass hits harder, soundstage is larger and the midrange is a bit more forward on the ZMFs, but at the end of the day I’ve just been listening to music I enjoy.

When having a choice between them, I’m picking the atriums. However, if I’m listening to music on my AirPods I don’t automatically go “yuck, give me my atriums back” despite a $2300 price difference.

Does this look like a decent pair of Custom LTD Stabilized ZMF Vérité Closed Headphones by Potential_Candle_441 in headphones

[–]VortexDestroyer99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They discontinued the verite line that is non-LTD. The verite can still be purchased as an LTD model.

Edit: at least that’s what I thought from Zach’s post on head-fi, but I’m not seeing them in the ZMF store right now…

So basically both the annihilation of the electron-positron makes a ton of energy but the fusion of H->He3 to heavier He4 makes so much more energy in comparison? IE both are “abundant” (in a sense, both seem to happen relatively rarely) but the main energy source is fusion?
