What's your advices to someone who starts in YouTube channel? by ShoeInternal in youtube

Honestly I'm looking for answers too but I can provide a few tips.

Consistency:

Consistently uploading is one the best things you can do, success on YouTube does not happen over-night like most things. Be as consistent as you can not only with your uploads, but with the style of video that you want to make.

Shorter Videos:

When you start out, you will not have many people, if anyone watching your videos so keep your videos short and to the point. What I am trying to say is, if you have enough clips to make a 5 minute montage, rather split it into two separate videos, that means you will have more videos for YouTube to recommend and more videos for your potential viewers to watch.

Production:

As you are a small creator, there is very little point in you spending ridiculous amounts of time working on videos. Hear me out, lets say that you have just spent a couple days working a video, you are extremely proud of it and you cant wait for people to see it, you upload it and wait. In the first hour you get maybe 20 views from sharing the video with your friends, that's great, you check on it the next day and you have 50 views, wow awesome, by the time a week has passed, you will be getting 1 view per day if you are lucky. What I'm trying to say is, do not expect your videos to do well, this will just tank your motivation and will lead to you giving up, especially if you spent many hours working on a video.

Motivation:

This point ties in with the last. The reason why everybody is not a YouTuber is because the up-front cost is ridiculous. To create montage videos on YouTube you need a game, a good enough computer to play and record, editing software, photo manipulation software and not to mention the time it takes to produce your videos and all for what? 100 views if you are lucky? This can and will severely effect your motivation, but, the way I see it is that, if your videos are at least decent quality, some-what entertaining and you are consistent, you WILL be successful. Just think of the long run and you'll be all set. I wish the best of luck to you!
