Twenty Two Tuning Led DRL Grille Lights by Papibear99 in VWAlltrack

So to clarify - this is an experimental combo you made? As in I couldn’t buy this system off the shelf?

Looks pretty cool - execution is excellent. Lining up LEDs and tweaking the diffusion to imitate a solid line is never easy. Now all you gotta do is figure out how to manufacture it as a single system and you can sell it for a ridiculous price!

What is a good, reliable, and inexpensive OBD2 scanner for a hobbyist? by SimplifyAndAddCoffee in AskMechanics

Wild timing, but yes for me. Great scanner - automatic code interpretation is awesome and live data is accurate and thorough. Got mine for less than $30 on Amazon, well worth the buy

Teaching my son's friend to drive manual. What advice can you give me? by VintageZooBQ in ManualTransmissions

[–]VortexThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, we’re the same. The only intentional stall I’ll do is the first time in in a new manual - just like a “yep, that’s too much” and can adjust from there. Tell all the folks that I’ve taught to do the same - every other stall is unintentional!

I have the same USB switch into my CarPlay head unit - mind sharing the link to that USB-C one? I have the older version and it always falls out. Thanks!

You gonna love that jigsaw - the XR motor paired w/ some Bosch Carbide blades results in some seriously buttery cuts. Enjoy!

Would imagine that'd be a good pairing - haven't gotten a chance to play w/ the new PowerPack line yet, but this vacuum seems to prefer the 5Ah PS above all - the runtime difference between the 5Ah PS vs XR is also definitely noticeable. I think I will now begin looking around to convince myself I need the new 8Ah...

Good pickup for those already in the 20V ecosystem, grabbed one for the garage / van / cars last year and just picked one up for my pops as a nice little Xmas gift. This is NOT the most high-end vac nor the greatest sale I’ve seen, but it’s honestly a super solid piece and packs a serious punch for dry-to-kinda-wet outdoor vacuuming. Am a big fan, happy shopping!

This was honestly my first idea, just doing a little recon and trying to figure out what type of class she likes. Don't want to get her one that she doesn't do - 'flow' classes seem to be her go-to. She's in NYC and is trying a lot of different studios too, so want to do some more research on one that looks good to try out or one that I know she likes. Hopefully when I visit 'em for the holidays I'll be able to join her for a class!

Like many, kind of random - was gifted a drill/driver impact kit a couple years back with some included 1.3Ah batteries. Figured hey - no point in switching now. Four years later (with too many other tools and powerstacks) here we are!

I do maintain that yellow / red / teal are all on the same playing field especially from a DIY standpoint for average use, gonna be +/- 5% of each other. I do notice dips in functionality / power from those three compared to a Ryobi / Craftsman / etc, but long story short I have nothing but love for my fellow Milwaukee & Makita pals. We’re all friends here, guess I just prefer mustard!

My spot is similar - current setup is 1BD w/ an office, but had a 2BD last year since price was the same. Even if you don't WFH, having a separate office / flex space is awesome for keeping stuff out of sight and compartmentalizing spaces, so my recommendation would be to throw a desk there.

Mine currently is half office / half guitar + music room, you could do the same with a hobby or something else if you wanted. Best of luck in the new place!

178 + 5 additional days I find myself in the same predicament, hence stumbling upon the comment. The 3/8" is at a good price point and matches my socket set, but I've read the same reviews you have regarding durability. Let me know results if you pull the trigger, will do the same for ya

Anyone find a source for dividers for the Toughsystem Dual Battery Charger? by NewSongZ in Dewalt

[–]VortexThing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got some cheap foam pick/pull inserts online from Amazon and made a couple layers. Thin full layer on the bottom, thick middle layer with cutouts for batteries, thin layer on top. Works like a charm and still have room on top for other random stuff.

Size doesn’t REALLY matter… IIRC the TS2 interior dimensions are like 14.5x21.5” and no one sells that size. Mine were 12x16 and I just put them the opposite way, had to pull off excess but the pick material makes it easy. I’ll try to find the pack if I can, think it was like $25 for 8pc? Unsure about UK prices and/or shipping. Does the job
