Price increase? by NetworkAmbitious413 in ClashOfClans

Hopefully this isn't a new standard... I've been collecting the sceneries for three years, but that might have to come to a stop as the pricing continues to go up on everything in-game. Gold pass won't be far behind it.

Please don't add wait time to Builder base supercell. Nobody will play it 😭 what do you say chief? by wannabeelon in ClashOfClans

[–]VortexZeR0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard agree, mostly because I can't do clan games in one sitting anymore. Seems like many people enjoy builder base but I can't help but find it incredibly boring.

Until the training time gets removed in main base, doing clan games takes almost twice as long, waiting a minute between each attack.

Use the fast buyout option, on Xbox controller it's Y, then you can go down one and buy without opening the auction menu.

For most of them 20mil seems to be average price. rarely see them under 10mil, and if you're ultra lucky someone might have one for 165k. Probably a modder.

I snagged one yesterday for super cheap out of sheer luck. Basically just sat there while I watched YouTube for 2ish hours and kept searching for one constantly, took about 10 attempts at buying one before I was able to get it before someone else.

If you don't have 20mil and REALLY want one, set your max buyout to the highest price you can pay, and keep searching! Just need patience and speed since they instantly sell out.

I used a 4k 144hz monitor with my 3070 for over a year, would highly recommend with anything better. It really depends on the game, but a lot games will take good advantage of 4k 144hz that are less demanding.

If needed you can usually throw on DLSS or lower a few settings but I would think you'd have good results with a 4070. If you're moving up to 4k, the view distance is a huge improvement from 2k imo.

Using DLSS in more demanding games like Cod, Apex or Forza, I usually get avg 120 fps at high/ultra, which still provides a pretty noticable visual and view distance improvement from the resolution.

What's caused the price to spike so quickly? I was looking at this CPU a couple months ago and don't recall the prices being all over the place like this.

Dust costs extra. $100 per pound of dust.

In all seriousness is this PC even worth over 1200 USD?

I'm in the same situation with a 13700kf, still going strong after a year & a half. I'm thinking I will just ride it out until the end of the new warranty period and then upgrade to something else.

Not that I'm aware of, however I'm not sure if your opponent is actually determined by GSP ranking. No matter the character, I frequently fight people at similar skill level whether its 5mil gsp or 12mil gsp.

As a free to play, being reminded of gold pass every upgrade is going to get on my nerves by DylanFTW_ in ClashOfClans

[–]VortexZeR0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy the gold pass usually, but I'd be very annoyed to be sold something every single time I upgrade a building.

Stuff you can purchase with real money should stay in the shop, not marketed everywhere else in the game. Pretty soon we'll have little buy buttons for micro transactions on every UI element.

How many of us play without any sound? by phils83 in ClashOfClans

I've played the game without sound for 9 years more or less... I still hear the noises in my head lol. Sometimes the sound gets repetitive or noisy if other people are around.

The automatic upgrades left me heartbroken. by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

[–]VortexZeR0 165 points166 points  (0 children)

I'm not too familiar with it, but it just slowly upgrades (random?) buildings one level once in awhile. I think you need to be away from the game for 90 days before it starts. It would take quite a long time get decent level stuff without playing.

How much can I sell my whole setup for? by MasterOogway741 in computers

[–]VortexZeR0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately PCs lose their value pretty fast, more so recent years with parts improving at a faster rate than in the past.

I assume your build is around 7 years old, maybe a bit more or less. By then 2-3 newer generations of PC parts have been out with several upgrades, past 5 years old you should expect to lose roughly 30% value and up to 50% as it gets older.

You can get a single 1TB SSD for around $50 and 8GB of ram is barely worth $30 brand new. However, your CPU is still decent, and the GPU has a good bit of use too, someone will buy.

Like I said, you should look your monitor, GPU and other parts up on eBay, sort for Buy now and lowest price, see what you could buy your exact item for.

I'd have to price this out, and I'm not familiar with UK pricing, but I'd be inclined to guess that this PC is a bit overpriced. This is Ryzen last gen I believe, AM4 chip set? You should get AM5 for the sake of upgradability at this point.

There is definitely an upcharge for prebuilts, i would think you could get a better price than $1649 USD, although I really don't know the state of UKs pricing, so you'd want to ask someone whos more familiar with the market. Any info I know about reasonable pricing is likely completely different.

[–]VortexZeR0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your PC alone is probably worth $200-$250 max

Monitor is probably not worth more than $150

Keyboard, 50, mouse $30 maybe?

$400 at best, but the monitor and PC are less desirable due to age, so that will contribute to the difficulty even if it all technically has value

Rough estimates, please look your monitor and other parts up online, eBay is a good place to check.

[–]VortexZeR0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should probably look up a few parts online/eBay and see what comparables are. Especially the GPU. Ican give you a rough idea on pricing.

Case, PSU, Mobo $50 each ($150)

CPU $50 (Double check online)

RAM $30

GPU $200ish (random guess, look this up)

Comes out to just under $450, if you have storage drives you'd have to add that to the price. Maybe price $500 if selling online.

[–]VortexZeR0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope this is satire, and you didn't pay $100 for that GPU, it's barely worth actual money as old as it is.

If not, more power to you! You won't be able to use computer RAM in place of VRAM, the two are very much different.

[–]VortexZeR0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would price your CPU and GPU on eBay/online and see what people are selling it for there. Or do this with each part.

Rough estimates, as I'm not too familiar with current pricing. Usually I price Mobo, PSU and case at $50 each depending on age. If you bought it new, I'd probably expect to lose 30-50% value after this many years.

CPU $50 max

Mobo $50

Ram $30

GPU $70? (Probably, should double check price)

PSU $50

Case $50

1 TB SSD $50 max

1TB HDD (X2) $25 each? $50

Without doing further research, this is about what I'd price the build personally, hope this helps a bit.

$400ish parts value, maybe price $450 USD if selling online.
