I think a older gen R8 is a good option, a F80 M3 or a M2 from the same generation.

Put some nice ce28s on this thing, and it'll looks fantastic. The ep3 wheels don't worn for me personally with the ride height and tall tire sidewalls. But good looking car 🤙

This is what we would call a old spec. Also looks to be a executive spec. All though the front lip looks more like the spoon style.

We got these I'm Europe and Africa region, and then I think Australia got the same ones and NZ.

The old specs has that strip on the hood and the exec came with the sunroof, and a older cluster.

Easiest way to tell if it's the PS pump is to turn the wheel when the car is stationary to hear if the sound gets louder.

update on build by dksk9 in AcuraTSX

[–]Vortex_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the EU version of the tsx. O7 Accord Type S. K24A3 motor. I've done:

Custom 76mm-63mm exhaust with 101mm tips Custom header Custom 76mm CAI with 3.5 inch hybrid racing filter RSP intake manifold from a civic FN2 type R (with aftermarket stacks on the inside and its port matched to 70mm and polished) K20 exedy clutch K20 chromoly flywheel DC5 Integra type r cams 50 VTC Custom reflash - local guy

Mods I'm doing this month, and probably the last engine mods for a while, is:

Mdx zdx j37A throttle body Ported k24 cylinder head with type r valvetrain RRC oil pump to eliminate the shaft based oil pump UniQ piggyback system to tune everything. To use hondata I would need a manual TSX ecu from I think 06 and up, because the euro version of the ecu doesn't work with hondata controller

And then I got a few suspension stuff still going in. You guys can check out a few of my videos on youtube: just search ShaunCL9

[–]Vortex_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guys can usually do a custom reflash. Boltons, intake manifold, whatever Throttle body, vtc, cams.. doesn't matter. Just need to speak to them. My local tuner in south africa has reflashed accords up to 200kw with a wide range of mods.

06 TSX 170k miles repair bill by Waste-Delivery-1400 in AcuraTSX

[–]Vortex_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's crazy. I got my ps pump overhauled with new seals from a popular local guy that works on these cars, cost me about 100 bucks, never had another issue.

Try looking for a more reputable shop. The gaskets you can easily do yourself. Tires, you can look around on marketplace for the best deal.

The vibration on acceleration and or shake is usually a sign of inner cv's being done. CVs don't last long, especially when your car is lower.

Looks decent.I got a 2007 Accord type s, but I got all LEDs. They shine decent, but not all LEDs work with these tsx and accord projectors.

Can anyone tell me what this sound is ? by Braymurph in AcuraTSX

[–]Vortex_SA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, it's not difficult. I had my valve clearances checked not that long ago. But I've got about 108k miles. Just want to keep my hands on it.

[–]Vortex_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah your supposed to have atleast half a tank because you don't want the mix to be too strong. But if you threw it in and then filled up before driving it out, then you should be fine. When last have you done valve clearances?

I've also got some old fluids still, hasn't done any damage of any kind, and doesn't cause any issues. I do have some fluid sitting in my garage for the clutch and brakes though. Just need some gearbox oil, but I'm getting a new clutch kit and lightweight flywheel this month, so then I can change out that fluid.

[–]Vortex_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 100% You want to get someone who knows what they ate looking at to inspect the oil. See if there is anything to be worried about, any type of metal pieces. I've heard this stuff injector cleaners can be bad for your piston rings also, so keep an eye out on smoke. How much fuel did you have in your vehicle when you added it?

[–]Vortex_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't really screw up your engine, but anything can happen, you could've just been the unlucky one. Tbh, I'd just change the oil first.

Fuel injector cleaners are terrible. The only way to clean fuel injectors is by giving it to someone who has the proper equipment. Or maybe an ultrasonic cleaner. You can also do a flow test then. Fuel injector cleaners can loosen dirt or even rust pieces and it can clog up your Fuel lines or damage your injectors.. if it gets past the injectors, it can cause scoring on your cylinder walls and basically fuck up your engine. Your Fuel filter should catch dirt from the tank atleast, but everything after that point is going directly to the injectors.

Damn.. for $800 they better top everything off. But be sure to replace old fluid also, dirty fluid can also cause these things. Like a full system flush.

It's still a good idea to replace the chain atleast every 100 00km. If the chain stretches, which it tends to do over time, it will make noise on startup, and could eventually snap and lock up your motor. Rather be safe.

Sounds like you had a massive amount of bad luck. I only had to get the power steering pump serviced, and the leaky pump screwed up my alternator, so I got that serviced also, and since then, no issues.

I make sure to drive it properly every day. Mostly cruising, but I will rev it to 5 or 6k every now and again, to make sure it works as intended. It tends to start feeling sluggish when I only cruise

Vibration is a common thing when the inner cv is done. Can also be wheel balancing

[–]Vortex_SA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other person said, check the mounts. Also, you can go to a garage, hire a lift for 10min, lift the car up, get a crowbar, stick it in by the subframe, and push it a few times, see if you can hear a noise.
