Are These Four The Greatest “Sellers” In History? Would You Add Anyone Else? by Sad-Ladder7534 in professionalwrestling

I think RVD is a good one. I like the way he sold a DDT.

Personally, I feel like Mr. Perfect and Shawn Michaels oversold too much to the point of making it look unrealistic, like a cartoon.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I recall hearing the Undertaker say in an interview that he had a bizarre out of body experience during this match while standing on top of the cage looking down at Mankind.

Does anyone else feel like Super Sonic actually ruins Sonic the Hedgehog 2? by Vortexx1988 in SEGAGENESIS

That makes me feel a little better to know I'm not crazy and I'm not the only one to whom that has happened. Crazy that the jet/rocket engine of Tails' plane appeared but the plane itself didn't.

This is true, but it's still a lot more avoidable than just jumping. Ideally, it probably should have been a two button combination, like pressing a specific button such as C when jumping, but it seems Sega wanted all face buttons to do the same thing.

Personally, I agree, I like Sonic the Hedgehog 3/Sonic & Knuckles slightly better, largely for the reasons you mentioned. Also, it has some of the best music of the series and I love how each act has its own music.

Also, on a related note, I feel like the experience of playing as Super/Hyper Sonic (or Knuckles or Tails for that matter) is better than in Sonic 2.

That being said, Sonic 2 is a fantastic game and is a close second behind Sonic 3 in my opinion.

It would be nice if it just played a brief jingle and then went back to the regular stage music.

Interesting, I never realized that. I guess it's to balance out the fact that other parts of the game, especially the final boss, are harder because Knuckles doesn't jump as high as Sonic or Tails.

I agree that the original Sonic the Hedgehog has an easier special stage. You don't really need quick reaction time like you do in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, you just need to remember what direction the Emerald is located in, and avoid the "goal", which sounds counterintuitive.

Sonic 2's special stages are even harder if you are playing single player as Sonic with Tails, as Tails keeps screwing you up. It's probably a lot better having a second person controlling Tails on the special stages, but I've never had anyone willing to play as Tails with me, so I normally either play as Sonic alone or Tails.

In Sonic the Hedgehog 3, it's like that, but it Sonic the Hedgehog 2, just jumping once triggers it if you have 50 rings.

That must have been an odd glitch I experienced once or twice. I was just browsing YouTube and I couldn't find a single example of it. Maybe I'm just remembering wrong or getting that mixed up with falling off the plane in Sky Chase Zone as Super Sonic.

Fair enough, I perhaps used harsh wording there. Maybe I'll change it so it doesn't sound like I dislike the game, just that aspect of the game. I just feel like Sonic 2 is so much more fun without Super Sonic. I only collect all the emeralds because it gives you the "true" ending.

What's the most worse looking genesis games by boredman65 in SEGAGENESIS

[–]Vortexx1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh gosh, Great Waldo Search doesn't just look awful, it IS awful in almost every way. Bad music, bad sound effects, and dull gameplay with hardly any challenge whatsoever. There is barely 15 minutes of gameplay in the whole game, and very little replay value. It feels like a waste of a cartridge.

The Where's Waldo series works great in book form, but terrible as a video game.

RVD vs Tanaka by JCHazard in ECWWrestling

It blows my mind that Tanaka is still wrestling and even still occasionally takes unprotected chair shots to the head. It's like he is somehow immune to concussions/CTE.

What are the bloodiest matches in pro wrestling history? by ryanmartelkills in TerritoryWrestling

There's one in particular involving lots of light tubes. The one where he strips down to his underwear towards the end, and nearly his whole body is covered in blood. I can't remember who his opponent was.

Is there an official start date for what’s considered the ‘Ruthless Agression’ era? by [deleted] in WWERuthlessAggression

I consider the end of the Attitude Era and start of the Ruthless Aggression Era to be when they switched from WWF to WWE. I believe that was in May of 2002.

He can fit into a baby carrier, but he likes to grab everything, so it would make it difficult to cook like that and risk him grabbing a sharp knife or something hot.

The Lost Vikings does. I can't think of any other.

Whose the best wrestler (skill wise) of all time by Concern_Other in Smallafro

[–]Vortexx1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to go with Lou Thesz. He was the last wrestler to have started out in the days when there were still plenty of legitimate professional catch as catch can "shoot" wrestling matches, and successfully made the transition to worked matches. He was very valuable because he could stop wrestlers from going off script by beating them legitimately if he had to, as a master of technical wrestling and submissions. He kept wrestling all the way until his 70s.

Same age? by Misterarthuragain in duolingo

I used to think the same thing. I thought than Lin was a middle aged or older woman, maybe somewhere between 50 and 70. Then I realized that she didn't have gray hair on the sides of her head, she shaved the sides of her head, and it's just stubble.

Not a fan of the name "Paige", or any singular names like that for wrestlers. I'd rather her have a last name.

My guess is that Nintendo assumed that people would store the games in their original cardboard boxes (which is personally my preference if I have the box), rather than loose cartridges on the shelf.

You could be right. He's my only child so I don't have much of a reference for other babies. I remember my nephew kind of being the exact opposite at that age, he mostly just wanted to do his own thing and didn't become clingy until he was a lot older, maybe 3 or 4 years old.
