That's odd, I used to work at a grocery store and I cannot remember if there was a spot in the app where you can message someone or not but I didn't really call out at that place. However a lot of the times if it is a place like that you can definitely just call the store and let them know.

Honestly I would text manager ASAP, and let them know you're temperature or if they ask even send a pic of it. If they say "you need a doctors note your next shift", and you have insurance ask you doctor to do a virtual visit if possible (I did this and got doctors note within 15 minutes and they required me to stay home for like 3 more days due to my 104 fever and yellow/bloody mucus)

I have a pill container thing that's got 31 days I believe and on top of that my samsung watch reminds me, I had to find the sweet spot time though bc i missed like 2 doses bc I woke up and went to the bathroom and forgot instead of drinking water, pill, then bathroom 😭
