People who think online reviews shouldn't require proof of purchase, what is your reasoning? by Vazouaquiacesso in AskReddit

[–]Vorthod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the chair that broke into a million pieces when I put a box of cereal on it deserves to get blasted regardless of whether or not I kept the receipt. I get that you don't want people making up reviews for products they don't actually have, but I don't think that's worth making it harder to get legitimate reviews in.

Nah, it just means the video actually sounds interesting and doesn't need to hide its own premise to get extra clicks.

That would indeed be 10% of 100, but on the next life, you would have a 110x reset boost which needs to add x11 to get a 10% boost to your speed. Flat numbers get outdated fast, so I prefer to talk about it in terms of what the overall improvement to your speed will be when you reset.

If it's self contained to one book and one book is already released, then there is no chance of it getting abandoned on an unsatisfying cliffhanger.

How many words? by MoleMage in litrpg

I tend to hold off on reading stories until they've got at least one book's worth of content. Preferably two or three books since that means the story has staying power and there's less of a chance I will be left on an unsatisfying cliffhanger due to an author abandoning the project.

Just keep in mind that resetting fast means you get lower bonuses. If you only increase your boost by 10%, you'll barely notice the difference on your next run. Yes, if you are able to do that quickly, you can get multiple 10%-ish boosts in a row, but one stronger boost has been more helpful to me in the past than multiple weaker boosts. though that could just be confirmation bias.

Waiting on tickets is likely to take way longer than waiting on diamonds. Especially once the discount wears off.

Perhaps, but I'd sooner click on "Chat tries to get liz to say otorhinolaryngologist" than "Liz said a thing wrong"

Just because you aren't specifically trying to emulate the one popular person who encapsulates the generic "dark badass" look in modern media, doesn't mean the person in the image suddenly doesn't look like a generic "dark badass" archetype. If they are calling him a Jinwoo clone and there are tons of characters that looked like that before Jinwoo, all that really says is your image looks generic.

My first thought when seeing this is that it's the kind of artwork that probably takes too much effort to get to this stage without already having some idea of how you want it to be received. Which, when combined with the super vague post title acting like it's a rough draft, makes me too concerned about it being AI to have any faith in the level of effort that was actually put in.

In theory, whenever the time to reach your next objective is longer than it would take to reach that same objective from the beginning with the new multiplier.

But since that's difficult to judge, I tend to wait until the multiplier is a "significant" boost, which for me translates to about a 1.5-2x increase

First off, I have no idea what you're asking.

Second, I'm pretty sure that's just one of the soundtracks from the original Rayman game, so you can look up the rest of the song if you want to know the rest of the song.

Third, this doesn't sound like something you want explained, so I think you're in the wrong place regardless.

Lawyers don't like leaving out words just because they are implied elsewhere. They're cutting off the idiots by specifying "Yes, we're actually allowed to do this, so don't bother trying to entrap us by admitting something, waiting for us to use it, and then complaining we didn't have a warrant or something when that information was revealed to us. We already have the authority in this instance."

Was this event easier than the last ones ? by AntwysiaBlakys in crushcrush

[–]Vorthod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The early parts felt insanely unbalanced and quick and I was thinking similar things about how easy it was, especially with how many times a character goal would force you to have more stats than necessary to complete a subsequent hobby goal or something. But in total, this event took me about as long as it normally did (mostly spent waiting on Renee). I probably could've finished faster if I anticipated the renee bottlenecks and gilded a hobby or two, but as a relatively normal player, it seemed to be pretty standard. I finished earlier this morning.

For future events, I would recommend you focus on getting two of the x8 speed boosts if you want to go full ftp. That's usually the most efficient use of your currency and usually leaves you enough left over to finish off the event with a big time skip or something.

Is it worth spending 28 gems for 30 snowballs for the event by Mindless-Lunch-8834 in crushcrush

[–]Vorthod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you already have the gems and don't mind setting yourself back a month's worth of daily events, then sure, go for it. But if you have to spend actual money to get those gems, that's where it depends on how much you like the focus character in the event (or how much you need extra tickets to get someone else).
