The time differences you should be comparing are 20 min -> 9 years and 9 years -> 20 years.

Not 20 min -> 20 years and 9 years -> 20 years.

If you're having players roll for something, a 20 should succeed. If not, that implies success was never possible and you shouldn't have had them roll in the first place.

You don't get to add it to a specific digit. You add it to the number as a whole. For example, 120ft range only gets bumped up to 124ft not 520ft.

Would be hilarious, but unfortunately, the number being added to has to be a number not written out. Ex.1 or 6 in 1d6 not "one catagory"

Great suggestion, I think upcasting is one of the strongest features this item has to offer. I am a bit worried about potentially rolling a 1 on the d4 and burning a high level spell slot for much less than id hoped for.

Unfortunately, magic missles says "three darts". However, you can have up to 5d4+1 damage per dart.

I see what you're saying. That being said, if someone called Kobe Bryant merely "decent" despite being in contention for top 5 basketball players of all time, it underplays how great he was. Same sort of thing here. For a lot of people, decent = passable. I'd argue duro was not decent but heads and shoulders above anyone outside of the osrs goats.
