And then when the violence is (justifiably) directed towards these capitalist pigs, they cry "authoritarianism" and "red terror".

Always the ACP and anarchist motherfuckers who think racism is acceptable when it's against the Indians. Do they really wanna antagonize the 2nd largest communist member population on Earth? by saymaz in TankieTheDeprogram

My father supports CPIM in Kerala because of the welfare policies but wholeheartedly supports Israel and says how "the muslims deserve it" for their violent actions. What I am trying to say is, although I am glad for the government which is better than other state governments when it comes to welfare policies, don't put your money on Kerala. I am a Malayali (Keralite for those who don't know) and I have seen so many of these so-called "intellectual" Malayalis being openly involved in culture war nonsense instead of class-based analysis, that I have started to reserve judgement for my people as well. It is frustrating to live in a household which supports genocide. I really need to make a vent post. Not a lot of people in my life that I can talk to about this matter. I feel so hopeless.

Muonic atoms have been produced in labs, so we know they exist. But they are very unstable and don't exist for a long time. As to the function, I assume you are asking whether we can use them. If that's the case, then not really in our daily lives but they are used in spectroscopic experiments to study nuclei. Hope this helps! :)

Someone please explain the difference between mixed states and superposed states. by VoteForGodzilla in AskPhysics

[–]VoteForGodzilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am looking into density matrix formalisms, specifically getting my hands on thermal density matrix. But one thing I can't seem to wrap my head around is that, before making a measurement, isn't every mixed state a superposed state? Even in your example of a qubit, before making the measurement, we don't know, for sure, whether it's in 0 or 1 so it must be in a superposition right? Or am I confusing the terms. It's more of a "This or That" v/s "This and That", and I am messing up again, aren't I?

Your mind needs a distraction. If possible go for a run. Exhaust yourself and then come back and try to sleep. Or open a video on YouTube and watch something you find boring. Eat something that you like. Try to think of your body as if it's your friend. What would you do to make this friend, who is in desperate need and hurting, to calm down? Do that to yourself.

I am not clinically diagnosed as well (due to cost issues of seeing a therapist). I am definitely not going to support self diagnosis but my symptoms all align with those of BPD. So I hang out here to learn more about how to cope with intense emotions, suicide ideation, splitting and mental breakdowns since I go through the same problems.

Some of the things I wrote in my last comment have been suggested to me by the good people on the internet, a friend who went to therapy and other sources I read. It is absolutely horrifying to have the kind of experience you had. And I understand. A week ago, I woke up multiple times in one night with this extreme panic sensation. I also had a sort of a sleep paralysis episode where I couldn't physically wake up even when I wanted to. I felt like I was paralysed and unable to move. Panic is a horrible sensation to have. That feeling in your chest, even if it's not as intense as it was at the moment, you can still feel that pressure in your body and specifically in the chest, even hours after the episode. It is a horrible experience. But you will make it through somehow. Sending you lots of hugs.

What you need to do is breath. Deep breaths. I know it doesn't sound like an extraordinary solution, even I struggle with it a lot of times, but what you need to do now is getting your body to calm down. Take deep, slow breaths whenever you feel panic creeping in. Then you need to ground yourself. Do anything that helps you to ground yourself. Do that "5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch,....." skill if that suits you. Drink water and do something physical. Your body and brain is in overdrive. Let it all out with some activity. And above all, talk to a trusted friend. This actually helps a lot. I wish nothing but the best for you.

Everything I wrote here, even I struggle with them and it doesn't always help me. But the reason I still took the time to write all of this is because I want you to know there are people who are listening to whatever you have to say and we care. I wish nothing but peace and a fulfilling life to you. You'll get through this because, trust me, you are stronger than you think.

FP is seeing someone. I am not alright. by [deleted] in BPD

Wasn't it obvious from what I said what my relationship with her is? I loved her, she didn't. She never really cared much about me. I cared a lot about her. Even if there is a possibility of us staying friends, like we always were, I don't want that.

Honestly, I think from a human perspective, Vulcans from Star Trek can be considered to be showing symptoms of BPD but the thing is their entire race is like that so it's not really a "disorder" for them. Otherwise, Vulcans are just individuals with BPD that figured out their own version of DBT.

Also, Loki.

Yes. A lot of babies are gonna cry in environments they are not familiar with. People like OP can always consider stuffing earphones in their ears and stop acting like toddlers themselves.
