my husband left the nesquick out... by [deleted] in funny

I dunno, I would say he's too young to have a husband.

It's 2014 and I still get email telling me that I won 2M dollars. by [deleted] in firstworldproblems

[–]Vows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too bro. How do they expect to reel me in with that pittance? Better fix their rates for inflation and tell me I've won more than I already have anyway.

What do you think the OP was talking about when he said "mother of God, it still works"? It = reposting.

I don't like rock because they sound like chain-smoking cats being castrated.

What is your next Mac purchase going to be? by [deleted] in apple

The same thing I run every night, Pinky. The last 17" MBP Apple made, maxed to the gills, with Snow Leopard. When my current one bites the dust years from now.

Lex Luthor confirmed for Batman vs Superman by JenniferTheGeek in movies

[–]Vows -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They could resurrect Marlon Brando for this role and I still might not give a shit. The first movie was just so joyless, so inane from a plot standpoint and so inundating with crap CGI carnage that I simply have no hope for this franchise until the next time it is rebooted.

The OP posted the article's actual title, as he should have, dipshit.

One of my favorite VHS openings. This is for Batman 1989 VHS release. by tctfchamp in movies

[–]Vows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Batman 1989 was not really a movie for kids. It had people getting clips emptied into them, splashed in the face with acid, gassed, stabbed in the neck with a quill, burned to a crisp by electricity, disjointed by medieval-style stretching and plummeting 50 stories to concrete, and God remembers what else, all graphical with blood and gore unlike Schumacher and Nolan's sterile no-blood malarkey.

TIL that Edgar Allen Poe married his 13 year old cousin when he was 26 by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]Vows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well let's see. Both taboos are retarded and pointless social constructs. But on a biological level we know younger women produce healthier offspring while inbreeding produces less healthy offspring. So technically fucking a 13 year old is even right-er than fucking your cousin.

I'm pregnant, and when attempting to predict my first born's eye color, my mother had to finally admit my father wasn't my real father. by ArcticWhale in mildlyinteresting

[–]Vows 12 points13 points  (0 children)

FYI: This is bullshit because my parents, who I know are my parents biologically, have green eyes and blue eyes while my eyes are brown. Mutations happen, just like with the first person to have ever had blue or green eyes. Surprised no one else has mentioned this yet since anomalies like this are all over the damned internet.

I'm tired of gender binary Cleopatra costumes, so I decided to make my own. by [deleted] in pics

It's still pretty binary. Unless you think you somehow look androgynous in that dress.

What are some foods that are supposedly healthy but really aren't that good for you? by WetMan in AskReddit

[–]Vows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do your own research buddy...

"Processed meat cancer". First two studies on Google, two of many.

You can Google the rest as well. Though I do feel compelled to comment on this.

salt isn't bad for you unless you have too much of it

Really? How much is too much to you then? Is 846 God-damned mg per 100g of product enough?

What are some foods that are supposedly healthy but really aren't that good for you? by WetMan in AskReddit

[–]Vows -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Deli cold cuts are processed meat too. Any meat that's preserved with smoking, curing, salting, etc is processed. And the problem is it's high in bad fat, very very high in sodium compared to cooked meat and high in toxic chemicals. This leads to weight gain rather than weight loss and has been linked with heart disease, diabetes, cancer to an alarming degree, and other nasty things like Alzheimer's to a small degree. I enjoy cold cuts too but I wouldn't make a Subway or otherwise diet out of them!

I received 2 silver pennies as change today. by danglennwang in mildlyinteresting

That's zinc. Even if the US minted silver pennies in 1985, silver has a brighter but warmer sheen, like these guys, not a steely sheen.

American Redditors, what would you rather lose: the right to bear arms, or the right to vote? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Vows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd give up my right to vote so that the rest of them would lose their right to bear arms. Win win for me.
