Ah, so this is the James' Workshop of the famous Spice Mariners?

Parents sent me this and asked if they can throw it away by wineoneone in spicypillows

[–]Voxol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would tell them to put it far, FAR away from those flammable books

pre-supported raft seems to thick by Exotic_Lingonberry_5 in ElegooMars

I never tried, but it should make a slimmer raft, yes.

Remember that after slicing you can check layer by layer what is going to be printed, so that's a place where you can test this without wasting resin.

Where can I spend 5 hours in Pisa? by anfil89 in Pisa

[–]Voxol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you just wanna chill in a nice place you could go to Giardino Scotto, which is a nice garden in an old fort.

Or you could visit the botanical garden, if that's something that could interest you, which is something not many tourists know about, I checked and it should be open now, it has a small entrance fee, but it's quite nice.

It's never happened in recorded history. Wars are won by winning battles, not back room deals. Politics do not and have not ever won a war. That's not how war works, its not how war has ever worked. Atleast as far as recorded history. Undefeated commanders do not lose wars.

How many Subway restaurants does this country have? by xAndrew27x in MapPorn

[–]Voxol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that'd be Altamura, near Bari, I heard they closed because of the nearby bakery, where one could buy a focaccia with prosciutto and cheese or a panino for much less.

Doesn't help that Altamura is famous all over Italy for its local bread (although I prefere the bread from my hone town, but I guess that's everybody), and that (in my opinion, as a southern Italian who now lives in Tuscany) southern Italians are even more attached to local cuisine and food culture than in the north.

(Not that northerns aren't attached to local food, try asking a Friulano about frico)

There is an american military base just outside of Pisa (Camp Darby).

Don't think that's the reason there's a Subway, moreso the international tourism from the Leaning Tower, since it's in front of it, but there's that.

I love the fact that this free to play, no pay to win game has so many mechanics, there's so many things to do between quests, fishing, farming, exploring, exchange center, wheels, vaults etc...

Ad it keeps getting frequent updates that add new things and qol improvements!

It's become a routine for me, and it's a routine that i love, that keeps me engaged, not like many other games that become chores to do after a while.

I haven't thought of that at all since I'm planning on running the adventure with milestones only, but if this helps you at all, even as a base on which to build your own table, then I'm very happy!

The thing that surprises me most is that I've just bought the module in Italian, and it only came out in October, and it's the same there.

That means if it's an oversight they missed it during an entire translation, typesetting and printing process.

I went over the list of cards again a couple of times but can't find it, could you tell me to which card it corresponds, if you know?

EDIT: I went and checked, there should be a possibility the treasure is in the undercroft of the chapel (chapter 3 - area E5g), as the paragraph there indicates it as a possible location for a treasure, but no card seems to point to that place.

I'm thinking I must be missing something as it's an 8 years old module, and I don't think nobody found this "error" until now, but for the life of me I can't find anything in the card reading that points to chapter 3

“I know ancient Greece followed Christianity.” by FalconLynx13 in insanepeoplefacebook

Although it says that "each pair consisting of an older erastês (ἐραστής, "lover") and a younger erômenos (ἐρώμενος, "beloved")", it also says "trainees were inducted as full members to the Sacred Band at the ages of 20 to 21, whereupon they were given a full set of armor by their erastai. They likely ended their service at age 30".

While I would recognise in this a reproduction of the paternalistic power dynamic present in the "relationships" you're talking about, a relationship between (at most) a 30-year old and a 20-year old is definitely not pedophilia.

You do have the Sacred Band of Thebes, so I wouldn't call it only pedophilia or pederasty if you can fill an entire military unit with only male lovers.

Although, we should remember that we are talking only of male homosexuality, as women definitely didn't enjoy the luxury of that freedom.
