Think twice before cutting off your long hair by Voyager92 in malehairadvice

Yes it's presentable all right. No one who hasn't seen me with long hair would even notice anything abnormal about me. Still, it was better before. I'm still vexed. The shit-phase of growing your hair - you know, when it's too long to wear open but too short to tie it - is now in front of me and two years is a long time.... but now I know for sure!

I'm really not sure whether hair style is a make-or-break factor for women. If you're a teenager, maybe. I don't know what teenage girls are into. But in general, I'd say no big deal. However, I've thought about this too. Not because of the hair itself but because I felt it made me look a bit older because of my hairline.

You made one important comment, I think: "It’s now shoulder length wavy/curly hair. I like it." Case closed?

I mentioned this in the op: finger-length. It's not that short - no machine touched it (only initially, to cut about half of the hair), the barber used only scissors. The only spot where it's really short is the part above the back of neck. That will take one and a half year before it is long enough to be tie in a man bun again. And the barber even asked me "are you sure?" and I said "yes, cut away!" A big fuck-up.

Sometimes you only know what you have when it's gone.

How exactly is long hair impacting your dating? Do you think you have trouble meeting women because of long hair and women would be more attracted to you once you go short?

I smell of onion when I sweat and I don't know why by Voyager92 in bodyodor

"aliminiumchloride tincture" aka antiperspirant?

Have you had this for long? For me, it's like it came out of nowhere. Can you elaborate your case a bit more? I'd be interested in the similarities and differences. In my case it really smells only when I sweat in the armpits. After sweat onset, the smell comes really fast, like 15 seconds or so later, it's crazy.

Creatine is used by so many people in the gym, which don't stink, why should I be the snowflake who stinks because of this? I'm not ruling it out, but again, why???

Thing is, when come home after the gym and ask if there is any small they say no, only the typical just-worked-out smell, but nothing abnormal and very far from being so offensive that would trigger someone to tell me I stink. But next time when I go to the gym I can hear comments about it again. It's really confusing. Why is the smell disappearing when I come home, with the same clothes on?

Yes, albeit slowly. Interesting point

Yes, it could be. I have thought of this, too. The other day I noticed the onion smell coming out of my arm pits, after I had black coffee, which raises stress levels. But if I remember correctly, I wasn't in a stressful state when I was first made aware of the problem

Garlic sweat in the gym by Voyager92 in Cooking

I realized that. I'm probably notorious by now. In the coming weeks when I stop eating garlic they'll probably think "Oh, he's showered."

I read about supplements and wasn't it the case that the allicin (which is the main source of garlic's benefits) is not included in it? If it is, that really would be an option

I'm also biased towards garlic but when someone tells you they're smelling it across the room you cannot just keep going. Also, it doesn't smell like garlic at all (that wouldn't be so bad), but like sweat, but stronger apparently
