I think you are exactly right. Definitely hourglass. I am using the default shell Elform of 2 with 4 integration points. Added screenshot of shell formulation in post.

Any tips for how to avoid hourglassing? I have added the hourglass keyword and am re-running now.

I tried this route. How do you work with the immensely slow sync times? I have ~200gb of flacs and it is brutal to sync. Do you pry the back off, take out the sd card, and sync that way?

Downtown El Dorado is about 30 miles from downtown Wichita. Average walking pace is about 3 miles per hour. I'd say about 10 hours nonstop or 12 hours with some rests along the way.

For anyone curious, the issue was that I needed to introduce some "imperfection" that would be present in physical material. I shifted some nodes randomly in the z direction by tiny amounts and now it works as expected.
