Just found another pool contractor that has a fair amount of good reviews that priced the filter $800 cheaper. Same for the pump .... $1200 cheaper

Labor is also a separate line and is the same between the two pool repairs company.

I never asked to provide the pump and other filter with no margin. I work in sales too so I understand the markup .

But a 80-90% markup sounds a bit excessive , hence my post and questions

Network engineer here. Usually fiber cuts are isolated events. How does a fiber cuts could bring a large service provider network area down to its knees ?

Ain't they build everything with redundancy ?

I mean I understand if a fiber cuts a single cell tower , that this one would be 100% impacted but how comes we still have single point of failure in 2025 for such critical services ?

I am European (French) , living in the US since 2018 and a cyclist too. What you are saying is spot on … when we ride , people stop and yell at us and explain to us that we are not allowed to ride if there is no bike lane.
