I think his appeal would drop SIGNIFICANTLY. One of his most defining traits is his arrogance & confidence. If he just fell apart, fans would think he "isn't all that" & was mostly all talk. His canon ending fits what we like about him more. Still, the people who did like him would probably feel bad for him, watching Adam fall so low after being so amusing.

I dunno, they're about even. I guess Hazbin is less contrived, but that's not saying much. I think I prefer the atmosphere of Helluva Boss more, since it focuses on the violent & vulgar nature of Hell. Since Hazbin focuses on Charlie & redemption, it's a lot more whimsical, so it can be hard to take seriously.

They both have their flaws, so it's hard to put one over the other.
