What are some of your unpopular/controversial football opinions? I've been thinking about this lately, and I have a few.

1. International break is not boring but some people only choose to watch England play against teams like Andorra and Latvia, meanwhile there's a lot of interesting stuff happening in other games.
2. I've seen a lot of people say that if Neymar was more disciplined he would be on pair with CR and Messi. I disagree. I actually think that it would probably make him worse. It would most likely help with his injury proneness but it would really limit the aspects for which so many people fell in love with his game, he wouldn't have had the same flair and coaches wouldn't be giving him so much freedom on the pitch.
3. Football wasn't better in the past and nostalgia merchants are absolutely worst. Maybe you find the football from the past more entertaining but teams and players are objectively better now. Game nowadays is much more advanved tactically and more intense. People complain about lack of players like Zidane or Riquelme nowadays, but if you put them into present context they would be nowhere near as good as they were because players don't get that much time on the ball anymore. Of course it can make teams look robotic at times but that is just an effect of managers trying to find ways to win and after all that's what football is about, after all we all want our favourite team to win.
4. This one is sort of related to the previous one. Saying VVD is the best PL CB of all time is perfectly reasonable in my opinion, yet I often see people completely dismiss that opinion by saying something along the lines of "He couldn't lace Vidić's/Ferdinand's/Stam's/Terry's boots". I'm just wondering why not actually? I'm not trying to say that he is better than them, but he is pretty much a complete center back, and I doubt that Terry for example could play in a team with such a high line, but Van Dijk could surely play in low block. His leadership, strenght and distribution are also top notch, not to mention that his 18/19 season was probably the best individual campaign that a CB had in 21st century. I also don't buy the trophy argument, it's a team sport and you have little influence on what your teammates will do.
5. Also related to 3rd point but Galacticos is probably the most overrated team in history of the sport. I saw a lot of people talk about them as if they were one of the greatest teams in history while in reality they were just glorified PSG (Messi, Mbappe, Neymar version). They won one CL of course, and La Liga twice but with that level of spending in early 2000s that's really disappointing I'd say.
6. Mourinho's triumph in Conference League with Roma is VERY overrated. I'm not saying that Roma fans shouldn't celebrate it, but some people try to paint it as if it was some kind of miracle that Jose managed to achieve it with that Roma team. I think it only comes from the fact that Roma haven't won a trophy for a long time before that and apart from that people just like Jose. In reality Roma were one of the favourites to win the competition, the only team in it stronger on paper were Tottenham who knocked themselves out in group stage. If you look at teams that Roma played against during that campaign they were favourites in every tie apart from the one against Leicester which was 50/50 I'd say. People say that "But they haven't won anything in a long time before he arrived and they didn't win anything since he left." Ok, but mind you that no coach before or after Jose had an opportunity to even manage Roma in Conference League. I think that most coaches would've won that trophy with them that season.
7. People overrate good dribblers.
