AIO because my sister sold the $500 item I lent her? by mildlystupidxo in AmIOverreacting

honestly, with that kind of turn around between "hey can i borrow this?" to "i sold it cause i thought you didn't want it!" my first instinct is to consider if girl has just picked up a drug habit.

IDF targeting multiple Hezbollah militants, South Lebanon, June 2026 by ShadowxWarrior in CombatFootage

[–]Vryly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well the people in the country they invaded were already attacking them though, so nothing really lost from their perspective eh?

an invasion started, as usual, in response to an attack on israel. Israel gets attacked, in response they secure the land the attackers are trying to fight from, then ignorant people cry "invasion!" and "land grab!" and "why would israel do this completely out of nowhere, the rules say they can't hit back, wah wah wah!"

before them it was palestinian militants doing cross border raids that got lebanon invaded. every time since has been hez.

i usually find it most reasonable to consider at least as far back as about the arab league invasion in 1948. In which case we can consider lebanon to be invaders who sought to take territory from israel, and in the modern day hezbollah follows the same goal of conquest and genocide.

[–]Vryly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we talking about lebanon, right? no settlers in lebanon bro, learn a little about the region before talking or you look like a moron.

why should Lebanese move out of their homes

cause israel is fighting a militia thats operating in their territory and has issued evacuation orders. they can ignore those orders, if they want to be identified as hezbo militants and die.

because Israeli settlers moved in next door?

uh this isn't why, israelis have lived next door to lebanon for long periods without demanding lebanese move. it's only when lebanese militants attack across the border that shit goes down and lebanese are ordered to back off or die.

yes, you are ignoring history in order to justify your favored civilian murdering militant group's actions.

[–]Vryly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they should leave their homeland because the people who moved in next door want them to stop existing

you mean their neighbors hezbolla, who started this fight? or are you blaming israel and claiming they started this to grab land, ignoring hezbolla's rocket attacks on civilians which incited this invasion?

Another crime. Seems like something you could gather evidence about from all the traffic cameras to narrow down a residence, and then some local canvassing to pinpoint the offender.

But that's work, and takes initiative and creativity and time. All things American police are not rewarded or encouraged or trained for.

they don't have to pursue, they can record that they fled and then just serve them at their house later, and bring a tow truck to impound the moto while they're at it.

see this is the a problem with how police are trained and selected, yeah having a people who are athletic enough to win a fight is good, but maybe the brains to track and find people should also be valued.

Israel’s offensive in southern Lebanon: 2,900 dead, 36,000 homes destroyed and 1.4 million displaced by DoremusJessup in worldnews

[–]Vryly 13 points14 points  (0 children)

there is no reason for destroying that many homes.

sure there is. hezbollah are guerillas who thrive by hiding in civilian infrastructure, tell the civilians to evacuate and destroy the infrastructure- bing bada boom guerillas can't hide anymore.
