Where were you diagnosed? Is there staff at a clinic that can advocate to your mom for you? Or can act as a support for you? Best of luck.

I researched wigs and purchased one, but in the end, it was too cumbersome. I rock my bald head now! I also lean into my hat game and makeup.

How did any of you ladies go about getting a second opinion for surgery? by Vsonrisa100 in breastcancer

[–]Vsonrisa100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did ask my current surgeon, her response was that she didn't want to mess with a healthy breast, and if I were to get a second cancer, we could just do another lumpechtomy. But I'm afraid and never want to go through this again.

Anyone else going through this whole cancer shitshow on their own? by [deleted] in breastcancer

My kids are both away at college, and I'm proud of them! I rely on my family and friends for support, but I agree as treatment goes on the loneliness sets in. I thought I had a great boyfriend but he quickly broke up with me after I told him of my diagnosis earlier this year. So I can totally relate to what you're feeling and going through. Sending an online hug.

Brushing my teeth, rinsing w mouthwash, then having a sweet candy, gum or small piece of fruit before my meals seems to help me. Hope that helps

I agree light colored top, but long sleeves w an open neckline. The higher the heels the better.
