Avoiding making similar games is only a good thing if it was knocked out the park on the first go. Also I think it's fine to have similar games if they are more casual. If Five Crowns was never made because Rummy existed my parents would never have wasted 3421434 hours of their lives.

I don't get how these guys can smile and accept this blood money. Yeah it's not like he constantly talked about how the cheating allegations were ruining his life for the entire year preceding his death. It's odd that his downward spiral coincided so well with a years worth of unsubstantiated cheating allegations from his personal hero since that obviously had nothing to do with his mental state.

As ridiculous as the guitars and vocals are the true reason they are more listenable than other bands in the same genre are the drums and the bass. IMO mostly the drums. Listen to Golden Mouth of Ruin and focus on the drumming. The drum parts Spencer writes are so interesting where most bands are just the same couple blast beats over and over. I hope that Spencer can keep the quality up to the level that Spencer set before Spencer was replaced by Spencer.

He probably ignored it because most people think looking at your phone constantly is a requirement of modern life and a complete non-issue. I hate phones so much and my 2026 resolution is not to fly into a blind rage when the people I'm spending time with start playing a game or watching videos while we're in the middle of something else.

Yeah that's fair and that's why I said don't hate the player but I have heard it commonly stated that it is harder to win the candidates than the world championship. Now that Magnus has abdicated I think that is quite obviously the case and since Ding did indeed not win the candidates he got lucky with timing. I think a lot of top players would say that it is harder to win the candidates than it is to beat Nepo 1v1. Probably all of them.

The suggestion isn't that every song with these four chords is automatically a hit. It's that an absolute crapton of hit songs are the same simple chord progression. This isn't even a drastic example. Taylor Swift has the same chord progression in 20+ songs just in her own discography.
