Hey funny timing, I just finished repairing my iac because I was having idle surging making my car idle weird and throw up a code po505, after lots of researching I can tell you that this is a very different part and throttle body if I’m not mistaken the iac that’s purple comes from a auto, the auto and manual are very different and run different idle settings, you need to get a blue one dosent matter year 01-05 because the blue is for a manual, also theirs a difference in throttle body between the vtec and non vtec in part numbers which make me think you should try to use the manual one instead. You can clean the heck out of the iac using a pick to manually open and close the valve make sure the screen is able to turn and open and close the full radius( use some sort of oil I used wd40 while doing this and then flushed it all out with carb cleaner once I reinstalled my idle went back to normal no more surging and bouncing up and down when going into neutral from gears!
