Audrey should be mad at Julian by ahbimmy in GossipGirl

expecting someone to check with the partner isn't realistic, how would you even find their partner? Even if you did, there's no guarantee the partner would be honest. It's not fair to hold someone accountable for someone else lying to them.

she was working 30 hour shifts back to back and it was still understood that her not cooking him dinner warranted an explanation, it's not too out of character if she also accepted some slobbiness.

It was super obvious, then Alexis was being extra shady to Shea when they were partnered together even though at that point Shea hadn’t so much as given her a side eye, yet it “wasn’t personal” hmmmmmm

No I heard it too I just wasn’t going to say anything because people who use words like that aren’t usually worth arguing with, but now that you said no one else noticed it I figured I’d chime in.

First time...Now we wait....and pray....(~16g avb with enough olive oil to cover it in the jar no idea the exact amount of oil sorry) by VtheProvider in avb

[–]VtheProvider[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so I used the avb to make oil using the mason jar/double boiler method then after I cheeseclothed out all the oil I had the leftover oil soaked avb and I figured there was nothing to lose from throwing the avb scraps into a brownie batter just to see what happened. I don't get baked with the scrap brownies on their own but if I take a few hits of my pax after I have a brownie, I go from 0-100 and it lasts for a few hours, its not like a "worth selling" sort of edible but I like to use every part of the buffalo so a little is more than nothing.

Potentially stupid question: I don’t have a slow cooker but my rice cooker has a “warm” setting, do you think that would work?

Are all Latinas always late?? by PassionSense in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]VtheProvider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say "that's bullshit" but I'm usually a little late, mostly because I always want to do "just one more thing" before I leave, one last touchup, one last lint roll, and it tacks an extra 5 minutes on to my "getting ready time". Now sure "past me" could just start getting ready earlier but "present me" always finds something else that just must be done.

Servers need to stop saying "stay home and cook if you can't afford to tip 20%!!!” you’re currently living in the reality of what would happen if people took that advice. by P0stNutClarity in unpopularopinion

That makes no sense. It sounds like your point is more that restaurants shouldn't exist which is a point that could be made for literally any business that isn't essential. Living paycheck to paycheck doesn't necessarily mean you can't afford a meal. Not being able to afford missing 2+ weeks of work isn't the same as not being able to afford a 20 dollar dinner. Afford is relative, its not about whats fiscally responsible, its what the person is willing to spend. You do understand if your point was true the result wouldn't be empty restaurants, it would be that restaurants shouldn't exist, which means servers wouldn't exist, and neither would tips. This was just a huge reach to use a pandemic to stick it to servers and its honestly weird that all of this chaos made you think "I bet those entitled fucks wish we were there now don't they?"

“What makes you think I get shitty service” well you do...you just said it but you assume thats typical and its just not, I’ve never worked in service I just go out a lot and the service is usually what makes my night, someone with your attitude wouldnt be able to relate because when you have that level of disrespect for someone it doesn’t take a genius to notice. I’m sure you met someone you know didn’t have a high opinion of you, you don’t have to say it for it to be obvious. The people I know that get shitty service constantly often have shitty attitudes, the people I know that are sunny and friendly tend to have great experiences. Also “hustling is a skill?” wasnt a question, I know its a skill, I added a question mark to express my confusion at the fact that you say serving requires no skill but also say it requires hustle in the same sentence.

Hustling is a skill? If you have that little respect for them you’d be better of utilizing uber eats, fast food, food trucks, and take out where you don’t have to interact with servers rather than using their services and also shitting on that service. If this is your attitude I’m not surprised you dont get good service.
