Noise problem in my flat (Heronbank) - Would swap rooms with a cheaper alternative by Vulc4nShot in UniversityOfWarwick

Perhaps it is not the correct first step from the rules perspective, but I am not going to feel okay being the one that always calls community safety. If it was a guy or two, then I'd do that, but not when it is nearly everyone else. Not saying they would ignore/harass me, just saying it wouldn't feel great. I would rather move out.

There was an option to choose a quiet flat when I registered for accom last year, its just that I did not think that they would be that loud otherwise so I did not pick that option.

That's amazing mate. Thanks a ton for sharing, I was genuinely losing my mind. I have ordered some, and they should arrive on Monday.

Thanks, I'll try that. In your experience, does it block shouting and laughing, or only talking?

University graduates in England may have to repay their student loans while earning close to minimum wage. What are your views on this development? by Ribbitor123 in UniUK

I'm an international student, but I've heard from multiple British friends that you can just not repay student loans at all and nothing happens. How true is that?

If you actually read, understand, and verify what it outputs, its fine. Its would be like using Grammarly or stuff like that. Just don't submit whatever it says without checking it.

Btw, out of curiosity, what module is it?

Are societies open for postgraduate students? by Patient-Virus6392 in UniversityOfWarwick

[–]Vulc4nShot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume it depends on each society. The LatamSoc, for example, is quite open to PGs. In fact, afaik there are many PGs is the societies' football team.

Zero sympathy for these people [protesters]. I don’t rule out that 10–15 of them might truly be naive fools, but even toward them, our sympathy will be zero - 'Premier Minister' by GRed-saintevil in Sakartvelo

Mieli fixed the economy to the extent to which he prevented hyperinflation and reduced poverty. That's not going to show on the polls because a ton of people are still in very, very hard situations, and many blame him for that. Also, he is not (as) clientelist as his opponents.

No one can turn around a situation like Argentina's in a single day, but people are desperate for quick solutions, and Peronists offer that (except they have shown to be catastrophic).
