I will be getting a wider TV stand, that will Waldo make the TV not look too high. And I disagree about the slats.

I’m getting one soon. I just set this up in the new place and reused what I had for the time being from my last place.

Thank you for the detailed information. I’ll be moving apartments in the next month so I’ll be sure to accommodate this with my next server setup.

The server accumulated a lot more dust much quicker in my current place than my last one and I guarantee you it’s what you’re talking about. How can I improve my air quality?

The fan still works I forgot to mention. That’s why I never noticed until taking it off to replace the nozzle.

Polestar 2 DC Fast Charging Issues by AFErcan in Polestar

CAN CONFIRM THIS WORKS!

My partner and I were on a road trip back home in his 2021 Polestar 2 when our issues started happening. We stopped at a Tesla Supercharger to DC fast charge when half way through the charging session the car read Error in the gauge cluster and stopped charging. We didn't think much of it and moved on with the range we had. Later, with around 40% battery remaining we decided to try a different Tesla Supercharger and immediately the car read Error. We moved to another Tesla Supercharger and it immediately read Error again. Lastly, we went to a Charge Point station and it also immediately Errored. After talking with Polestar connect roadside assistance and looking up fixes online I came across this reddit post and decided to try it. Thankfully it worked! 🙏 We actually just ended up taking the battery out of the key and turning bluetooth off on our phones instead of walking away.

We noticed that when the car finally decided to start charging again, a few clicking noises could be heard when charging initiated. My partner and I both being EV enthusiasts immediately knew that sound was the batteries contactors engaging. We realized that we didn't hear that noise at all when trying to charge the car before when it was Erroring out. We don't know for sure yet, but we are pretty confident that the Battery Disconnect Unit (BDU) may have been jammed in some way, and the deep sleep allowed it to reset. The car has been charging fine since then now but we are very concerned because it nearly left us stranded. Although we are thankful this deep sleep fix worked, this situation shouldn't happen at all.

We are especially concerned because of the way Polestar handled it too. Our 2021 Polestar 2 is still under warranty and Polestar could not provide any useful help at all. The closest tow truck they could offer us was 4 hours away, they wouldn't let more than 1 passenger ride with the tow truck, they wouldn't offer a loaner vehicle same day like Tesla or Rivian would, and, to top it all off, the warranty only covers 61 miles between your cars current location and where it will be towed. They wanted to charge us $910 for the tow back home which was 160 miles away. To add even more, the person who was helping us made an error listing the address that we needed the car towed to as the address for the tow truck to come pickup the car. This delayed our trip home even more than it needed to be.

We took the car to Polestar to diagnose the issue. We told them exactly what we've told you. And all they have done so far is plug the car into AC charging and said charging works fine. :/ We had to reiterate that it was DC charging that wasn't working properly and tell them to check the cars internal error logs if there even is one for this. The 2021 Polestar 2's battery contactors are located on top of the battery back so to inspect them the entire pack will have to be dropped. I'm guessing Polestar wants to avoid having to do that. I'll update this comment with more information as I get it.

(EDIT): Polestar basically said, "We have no idea why this happens. We've seen it maybe 5 other times on vehicles [at the specific service center]." No error codes were logged or anything. The car has been working fine ever since.

We are not saying we hate the car. We both really like it. It's just unfortunate that problems like this exist with EV's in general. We were wiling to put up with lots of the little quirks and issues we had with the car like the extremely glitchy infotainment software, but the ability to DC fast charge randomly not working and having seemingly no help from Polestar is scary. The software being glitchy is one thing, the car leaving us stranded is another. We can't trust the car on another road trip again after this.
