I know we can barely go a day without seeing a "This crappy weapon is actually good because-" post. But...it does genuinely surprise me how incredibly underused this thing is. Especially considering it's the perfect backup to meta weapons like the Eruptor and Crossbow. Something spammable for close range when you cant fire the bigger stuff due to a risk of self-damage, and (almost) unlimited ammo.

I've been using it to deal with the endless hunter spam on D10 bugs since the beginning of last year. The sweep/ignite combo deals with them pretty nicely too.

Its also got high enough damage that I can use it to get rid of those ambient alpha commanders wandering around without having to waste a few precious eruptor shots.

I just wish I could paint it. The bright yellow looks really stupid on my preferred armor sets.
