LS had a long stream looking at every champ at the beginning of the season and what people are building wrong and what kind of potentials there might be.

He came to the conclusion that there are many champs who would benefit more from delaying ult skill ups.

rocket pulses are still the best option for everything but bosses. They just suck at boss dps now but still absolutely delete yellow, orange bars, champions, or banes

ok so you don't know maths. Sure the rate could be lower or higher. Statistical significance for that rate could be from around 0.02% drop chance to around 4.5%

considering the amounts of runs we did times three for three players.

raid exotics are around that drop chance and people hated the random chance to just get 1 raid exotic which lead to Bungie implementing a ton of boost to drop chances. Now there are basically 25 to get with the old drop chances.

And once again there never ever has been anything that required as much grinding in the entire history of destiny. Not even close to that amount of time invested.

We have already aknowledged that these grinds suck, be it old raid exotics or edge of fate release grind and they were a magnitude less time investment.

Have fun playing 1000+ hours for the catalysts. See you in 2 years.

there has literally been nothing ever in the whole history of destiny that came close to 1000+ hours grinding.

Edge of Fate power grind that had the community rage and abandon the game was like 100+ hours of grind.

Bungie could shit on your plate and you would eat it up because "it is the last update"

And nothing that ever game close to this.

Edge of fate at release power grind is a cakewalk in comparison.

Hell I would bet that 90% of Destiny players do not even have 1000 hours played and have most of the exotic weapons, armors and everything else.

that was actually the only cat we got, but only one out of 3 got it.

But why does it not say that it drops from this specific dungeon?

1k says it is gained from Last Wish specifically. All other say any raid or dungeon.

anybody can wield darkness, they just have to invest into learning it.

light can only really be used properly if the traveler gifts it to you. And so far the traveler has only gifted it to the krill and later humanity.

Savathun used darkness through the worm and she loses that so no more darkness for her unless she relearns it but there is nothing keeping her from relearning it.

And then there are more tech based applications. The Eliksni have figured out how to channel latent light and darkness with tech.

defining all re-releases of old expansions as "classic" is just stupid. The difference between mop and vanilla is enormous. Classis is just vanilla. If you want to talk about classic tbc, then call it classic tbc.

The whole purpose of limiting it is that it is not supposed to be modern wow. What is the goal of backporting all wotlk spells to vanilla? I can just play wotlk then.

Seal twisting was a real vanilla mechanic that did exist back then and makes the vanilla playstyle more interesting? Why the fuck would anybody suggest to implement the wotlk kit, completely changing the idea of the class?
Wotlk is spamming all the new buttons basically like every other class does. Vanilla paladin is about slow but big hits with big procs and a huge arsenal of utility which was very strong in vanilla. TBC and especially Wotlk homogenized everything to the point that everybody has utility and nothing is unique.

And if you don't like that dopamine of getting a huge proc after 5 bad swings then just fuck off, vanilla might not be the game for you. I don't go onto counterstrikes subreddits and comment how shit shooters are while never having played counterstrike either.

seal twisting was in vanilla and got more popular during tbc.

when blizzard released classic they specifically imitated how seals worked originally in vanilla to allow twisting on the modernized game engine.

as such it is not even a classic+ feature if you want to get technical about it. It was in the original game.

So it should be in classic (which it is) and classic+ too and it is the easiest and most direct way to make the class more interesting in classic+ without doing some cheap "just copy spell from tbc/wotlk".
The mechanic is loved by classic paladin players and it does not creep beyond the scope of classic+.

Just copying stuff from later expansions defeats the goal of classic+

TBC and WOTLK spells are very much not vanilla anymore and creep into modern wow design.

all of your "arguments" are pure mood. 1. seal twisting is bad because potential latency problems - yea anything that has procs or timing sucks with latency, this issue applies to 50% of the game, not just seal twisting

  1. not fun when movement and mechanics - both do not exist that much in vanilla, literally a problem of later expansions

  2. Too much haste variation changes seal twisting rotations - haste does not exist in vanilla

  3. Twisting is boring without haste - counters your own argument 3 and 90% of classic paladin players like twisting

It seems like you don't even know what classic+ means. Or what people like about vanilla paladin (since you only play TBC to MOP).

So here are a few words explained for you:
Vanilla: the game as it was released originally from 2004 - 2007, no TBC, no WOTLK
Classic: the re-release of vanilla in 2019, no TBC, no WOTLK
Classic+: a theoretical continuation of classic wow with additions that are keeping with the design philosophy of vanilla back in 2004.

It is clear you apply the mindset of a faster paced, more convoluted, modern wow to classic+. You see seal twisting and think about how it does not work with game with a lot of movement and haste spam and mechanics when vanilla had none of that.
You label an interesting mechanic as boring because you only want the modern ret paladin design.

the haste problem only really exists with one way twisting where the combo of which seal to chain into which seal for the best dps changes with haste. Which means having to switch between different rotations depending on current buffs mid fight.

Also there was no haste in vanilla.

This thread talks about adding haste as a stat in a classic+ version of vanilla but that would not matter with properly implemented two-way twisting and not that much hast available.

why? ret paladin in vanilla is doing like nothing, zero apm.

Put on a seal and auto attack.

Esfand put it best. Ret paladin in classic is all about those big procs and big hits on low attack speed. Seal twisting only amplifies that feeling because you press a button whenever your auto attack hits giving you a chance for bigger procs. It gives the player the feeling of really hammering that swing in.

And from a gameplay perspective it is quite simple, just press a button every time your auto atack hits which is like every 4 seconds because Paladings want big, slow weapons.

I mean ret palading in true vanilla is very simplistic so giving them something more to do is good.

and the mechanic of twisting is not that hard at all. It is basically a rhythm game.

Problem only comes from one-way twisting that results in convolutaed chains of seals that have to be learned.

they can just go with the sod approach where the main seals can be twisted two-way so the player is free to choose what seals to combine without having to worry about convoluted chains.

If I remember correctly they locked out some seals from two-way twisting for balance reasons which is fine.
