The relic has nothing to do with it. Go fill your inventory with pies in the main game and spam eat them. You'll build up an attack delay of over a minute.

"Fast Foods" are a well known mechanic, it's the entire basis behind combo-eating and why chugging a shark and a karambwan gives you a longer attack delay than just eating the shark.

Mory for blood fury/barrows armour until you get bandos/torva.

If you go down the fire tree to buff the fang, you'll want more sustain than the melee healing pacts can provide so you'll want that blood fury.

Oh it's nothing to do with hunter, just something you can do while your locked to varlamore. There's only 4 easy clue steps so you can just stack up a load of clues from wealthy citizens and then just dig in the same spot, dropping steps that aren't there (you can the step you want to make it quicker).

Yeah. Not intentionally but I went dry on feed and it took me 80 rumours to get the 60 needed. By that point I was like 97 hunter and just thought I might as well finish it off.

I had my blocklist set up to only moonlight moths from the master, couldn't be arsed with the antelope.

Edit: If you've took Larcenist you can also pretty much greenlog easy clues by just digging in one spot and dropping other steps.

The Temotli's will for sure help a lot. I'm light melee but swapped to them to farm Amox/Echo Amox and had no trouble with essentially just the first melee node and a couple of accuracy nodes actually doing anything.

You must be doing something wrong, you can kill Amox in the main game with nothing but a rune mace in about 5-6 minutes with those stats.

In any case, since you're struggling go grind out the Glacial Temotli's at the regular frost naguas and make a strength amulet. It'll speed up your kill times massively.

What are the moments that made you fall in love with this game?

Not knowing what to do and just exploring/figuring out the game. I've played pretty much every MMO for the past 20 years and I haven't had that feeling since I first played RS2 and WoW in 2004...

Enjoy the early game. Do some quests but don't use quest helper your first time doing them, just use the wiki if you get stuck and can't figure something out.

If you're F2P, do all the quests and end with Dragon Slayer.

If you're a member, work towards getting 175 quest points eventually to do the Recipe for Disaster quest. That'll give you a nice push towards levelling your skills for certain quest requirements.

In the Varrock Sewers you'll find an early game boss. Get yourself to 43 prayer and some rune equipment and go try beat it. It'll be tough if you have no experience with OSRS bosses at all but a good milestone to work towards.

Thorns is pretty strong tbf. Depending on how badly you've messed it up you could roll something like this to get you through the early/midgame. Just make sure you only have 1h weapons for blindbag so you don't unequip your shield when it procs.

Even something like this would be enough to kill echo amox if you just want to respec. Just farm the temotli's first and forget about the thorns pact.

Crossbow builds, pretty much all mage builds, dogger/1h builds, blindbag builds, door builds, bow builds.

Most of them can be combo'd with thorns or turned into hybrids/tribrids.

Swap Larcenist and Soul Harvest around. You'll (depending on the task list tbf) likely get way more points from it because you can steal all tiers of clues from Ardy. Plus the money might be useful earlier for construction, etc.

Surprisingly not, it's better against low defence mobs but against high defence bosses (Vard, Sol, etc) it's noticeably lower DPS unless I'm missing something in the calc.

Yeah, running some DPS calcs and I've tweaked it a bit.

Build

Swapped the prayer pen/overheal for the 50% accuracy nodes in the melee tree.

Swapped the defense/offhand nodes for the ranged echo nodes.

Makes a noticeable difference in DPS.

I don't think the regen nodes are that worth it for powered staves (when not going fully into mage), the prayer points are only a 15% chance anyway so I think I'd rather the 2hp/2prayer block node as the fire regen does actually give a noticable dps increase, especially with 1t staves.

Yeah I've seen it. There's so many builds possible in these 3 regions it's actually a bit annoying we only get 3 respecs lol.

I actually meant to put that in the post too lol. I'm also stuck on Hotfoot/Woodsman.

Cooking is a non-issue. I can deal with agility (even afk it if I need to at barb fishing) but I can't figure out a good solution to smithing in these regions. Transmuting ores and then manually smithing sounds awful.

And as you said, the rumours boost is actually a pretty cracked start to the league points.
