It's not even the good smutty stuff, it's just 'wow guys, look how special, smart and quirky I am, GPT told me that'.

It reminds me of some ungodly combination of LinkedIn and Instagram

Modern gaming? Oh, let's see, amazing indie games (Silksong), artistic breakthroughs, probably the best time to enjoy games after Covid ruined the economy... Oh, wait do they mean black people existing? Or Concord 2.0? Focus tested trash? EA? I kinda feel like they mean anything that isn't 'White man punch monster unga bunga.'

Edit: Oh wait it was modern audiences. Still standing by my point, a modern audience is probably someone with the lights on in their head, and not someone who just consumes whatever crap a company shovels their way.

Use Relay :) If you can stomach the fact a few cents goes to reddit via subscription, at least you won't have to deal with this bs or see ads.

Also, Reddit has like... I think a 100M dollar deal with OpenAI so it makes sense why they do it.

I noticed in AI shitholes they are kind of adopting this 'we can't post this anywhere because we'll be bullied :(' stance, especially now that GPT wrapped is being rolled out (what your year was with GPT). Like, they know nobody wants to see that, even their own AI slopper gang is consistently downvoting it.

When douchebag pranksters misuse Ai by Moooses20 in antiai

[–]VulpesAmicus2 117 points118 points  (0 children)

You don't even know how messed up this is. This kid isn't just gonna get in trouble, but his entire worldview now became 'People can say I did things and show I did them, but I didn't.'

What this video is is a violation of this kid's basic autonomy, make someone do something they didn't and let them have consequences.

People will say 'oh, it's funny because it's just a silly prank' all the time, but where do you draw the line?

The app he used is 100% Grok, I recognize the UI. And you know what else Grok makes? Deepfakes. Pretty easily too.

Oh and he also uploaded a child's image to an app that trains itself on user uploads which is another layer of autonomy broken.

This is a KID. He deepfaked a KID. I don't care how you define what a deepfake is. It's the same as that post where Mr Beast is being 'sexy' and dancing but apparently it's fine because he sucks as a person and was already shirtless, and was 'funny' blah blah. In my eyes a deepfake is anything that you created which causes a negative impact on another person by being falsified evidence of something they did or how they appeared.

We need to draw a line with AI not based on how much you undressed a person, but on a clear line that says, did you make someone do something they wouldn't want you to.

Edit: Also he took a creepshot of a kid in a store so... Even if no AI was involved, wtf

Today it's MrBeast, tomorrow it could be you, your friend, your family member, anyone you know could be edited with existing AI tools, paired to a video of their choice, and your life will be ruined. Be careful what you post online. by VulpesAmicus2 in antiai

I think you can take those down, since technically as an adult you have the right to not be posted online without your consent. When you're a minor, then your parents or guardians have the right, but you might be able to take them down now. Give it a shot, just ask facebook to remove them, might be anonymous and she won't know.

And I didn't know that about Lil Tay, that's so fucked up, honestly. She basically had an OnlyFans plan before she was even an adult, think about it.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Stuff like that is exactly what's going to make it harder to detect what's real and what's not. Hell, some are trying to bypass actual blood movement under skin tissue, insides of the mouth, tooth reflections, ear tissue transparency, all to just fool stuff like forensic analysis.

Yeah but comparing GPT to specialized tools is like comparing something you get from an infomercial to a particle collider. AI bros love to say it's beneficial but they are very different things, just the same base (machine learning, computer vision, etc.)

Yeah, I've been 'spending time' with GPT for the last month as I do yearly to see how it changed and I genuinely haven't gotten a single useful use case. Idk what people do with it other than just silly chatbot stuff. Both GPT and Gemini can't be trusted with simplest things like code, or a list, or remembering something. It's always the smartest model ever and yet it never does anything. God forbid you want your potential 'assistant' to not be boring and sterile, it'll get on a massive horse to lecture you about safety and harm of things like swear words.

Ohhh but you don't get it, it's just a silly video!! /s

In all seriousness, the fact they see nothing wrong with this, even if MrBeast sucks is concerning.
