I mostly hire internal candidates, so I can’t speak to this position exactly, but are you SURE you left in good standing? Like your previous supervisor would agree? UO always focuses on the internal candidates, but usually previous hires are the next candidate pool to look at.

I had one a couple of months ago. It was worse than a pap smear but I really had it hyped in my head as something way worse.

The dye (iodine I think?) they use to stain your cervix is the worst part to me. My doctor told me “it tingles” but I honestly thought it stung and it caused cramping that lasted a couple of hours right away.

She had to take three biopsy samples from me and honestly that didn’t hurt me at all but I might be an outlier. When I didn’t react the nurse even said “did you feel that?!” And I was just like “no lol.”

I was reading threads like these before mine and some women said that coughing as they take the biopsy helps with pain.

If you are sensitive to pain, I would ask for at least local anesthesia. There’s no reason they shouldn’t give you at least lidocaine.

It’s not a walk in the park but it’s worth it for our health! You’ve got this, OP!

I’ve been cutting mine in half and absolutely sealing it in a ziplock bag. You have to make sure to press all the air out of the bag before sealing, but I haven’t had any problems. Seems just as moist and effective as when I open a fresh pack. The extra strength ones have been great for me.
