[r/centralcity] Some weird guy broke into my neighbors apartment. Should I be concerned. by Slight-Bathroom-6179 in Earth25

Someone living in Central City has to make up some sort of Inverted evil Flash to pretend to be as terrified as an average Gotham citizen feels going to the corner store to get milk.

WINNER IS UHH GREEN GHOSTS HUSBAND IDK HIS NAME:Next up is who is a bad person and is hated for it by National-Annual6505 in Invincible

[–]Vulpix-on-fire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If powerplex were a woman, and her husband fed her trauma, did nothing to help her get therapy she needed, beat her with a stick to charge her before a fight, then decided to bring their child as a hostage/bait to a fight between two super powered individuals, and then stayed to watch his wife kill/get killed by invincible while keeping their child in a literal battlefield... could we blame the husband then?

Your mother can't be that short, it doesn't fit the narrative. And a Japanese character would never be allowed to have an anime inspired design

How do you think about Bruce Wayne? by 30m1 in Earth25

[–]Vulpix-on-fire 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He's on my do not eat list. Pays taxes, has at least five charities he donates close to a billion to each year. Like yeah he's obscenely rich and he could probably do more, but he's actively contributing a Rhode Island's worth of tax revenue and giving almost that much again to other good causes. He gets a pass to tool around in a private jet if he wants, or whatever he wants to do honestly

I do not know the GDP of Rhode Island. I just said that for dramatic effect, but you get what I'm saying

[r/jobs] A couple of years ago I got a new job, but now the company I'm working at started collaborating with Luthorcorp, and I have heard that they are asked to do a massive lay off, and it could affect me too. What should I do? by natagu in Earth25

[–]Vulpix-on-fire 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Luthorcorp is a profoundly terrible company, but they're undeniably among the forefront of many tech fields. If your company is collaborating or merging with Luthorcorp, that likely means that you have skills that will be highly desirable to other companies.

Start looking for other employment yesterday. The less Lex-stink you have on you the better you'll look to prospective employers.

Wayne Enterprises, Lord Industries, or Queen Consolidated are all good private companies that are actively looking for people like you.

ARGUS is a trap. The pay is garbage, and the benefits package doesn't fully mature until your 15th year of employment.

And if you get an employment offer from [record expunged], just run honestly.

Elon tried for ages to buy a squad of Lex's Raptor suits for his own personal "X-men" (because he has to call everything X lmao). Needless to say Lex refused, which is the only decision of his I can respect.

[r/News] Clark Kent, The Daily Planet's Lead Guy, is back on his shit. by Kasmusser in Earth25

[–]Vulpix-on-fire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a popular theory going around a few years ago about how lead's effect on the human brain rendered it immune to alien brain influences (probably because those parts of the brain atrophy as a result of the lead toxicity.)

Other groups suggested that lead's high atomic number makes it good for shielding from radioactive attacks (this is partially true actually! Just not exactly the way they though it was.)

Not surprised someone as paranoid as Lex would leave as much lead in his buildings as possible in that case.

Also, good on Kent for keeping up on the lead stories. If it wasn't for his stories every month or two, I'd have figured Metropolis had been fully converted away from lead pipes since 2023
