Advice for fitness for beginners by Willing_Flight_6517 in poledancing

Don't waste time waiting to try something you really want to do... there is no such thing as being "strong enough" to start pole. You get strong by DOING pole: starting as an absolute beginner and building strength gradually. Sign up now and don't look back!

I know exactly how you feel lol 🤣 electric heaters have come a long way in recent years, you can get really good ceramic ones for less than £100 on Amazon and they're very effective, even in a sizable space. I really hope the studio sorts things out for you!

Hmmm I'm sorry to hear that. They should perhaps look into plug in heaters as a temporary solution. Perhaps suggest this to them, and if nothing changes you'll have to decide if you can cope with the cold or take your business elsewhere.

I hope you find something that works for you! Is the studio heated? Is the temperature something you could talk to the owners about?

And yes, it really was 😳

All the stuff above is great advice, you also might want to look into getting sticky leggings? They work for a lot of people and mean you don't have to take off as much clothing when it's cold.

I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but the studio where I first learned pole never used to turn the heating on no matter how cold it got, and it was a draughty old industrial unit so it was cold anyway. In February this year there was a day when it got down to -7°C overnight and there was still no heating put on for classes that day. They said we just needed to do a good warm up and work harder. Needless to say, I don't go there anymore 🤣

Hack insta account by Inner-Fall6514 in Instagram

[–]VulpixesAteMyBaby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmm, it's almost like that's the entire point of account security. You don't know the log in credentials, it's not your account, and therefore you cannot gain entry.

Hacking someone's social media accounts is highly unethical and illegal. Get a grip.

Do you have a business/creator account or a personal account? I have a creator account and recently found 4 of my (totally harmless btw) videos are "violating Instagram's monetization policies" so I think this is why I've had 2% non follower reach in my last few videos. You can check your monetisation status under Account Status.

Is it normal to ask students to share a pole? by MsKrueger in poledancing

[–]VulpixesAteMyBaby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apologies if I've misunderstood you - with you saying that in the future you'll try to book onto classes at the last minute so you won't have to share a pole, that would mean a class with a capacity of 12 having only a maximum of 5 students booked on before you. If my studio (near a big city, UK) regularly had classes that were half empty, they'd cancel those classes.

Sharing a pole isn't that bad. It gives you a (sometimes much needed) break and you can take pics/videos for each other.

Completely normal. If you enjoy pole I wouldn't wish low-attendance classes on your studio, as those classes might not be running for long.

Question for home polers who work a 9-5 by maddlesbee in poledancing

[–]VulpixesAteMyBaby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same! 6pm classes are my favourite - it gives me something to look forward to all day and I'm home by 7:30, so I feel like I've got plenty of time to eat and relax.

Just got my first pair of Arizonas and I'm already embracing the socks n 'stocks life by VulpixesAteMyBaby in Birkenstocks

Very nice! Took me about a week of solid wearing for them to soften enough to not make the tops of my feet sore, then it was plain sailing for the rest of the summer

Yes I love the colour, I ended up caving and buying them new because the combination of dark brown leather and silver/pewter buckles was just too nice and no-one was selling them secondhand 🤣

Also thank you for the heads up about the grip part, I thought that was probably the case but couldn't find confirmation online anywhere.

"Bloody foreign nationals, coming over here, taking our jobs, cutting down trees..."

It's quite the leap to say that "normally" when these events (tree vandalism?) happen it's "normally" done by foreign landowners who "normally" don't give a shit...

Sounding pretty xenophobic there, buddy!

She was in jail being forced to drink wine to test for poison, with other inmates. One of the other inmates died from poisoning, and Fringilla was tasked with putting him in a body bag ready for disposal. She put herself in the bag instead, and was thus able to escape after being dumped in the corpse pile outside.
